A Ponent — Restaurant in Dénia

I will NEVER return here, not even to haunt it as a ghost. I will actively tell all friends, family, random strangers and future children not to come either, nor even mention its name. Disgraceful service, we had our drinks dumped on our table, our bill thrown at us and one of party members was even verbally insulted. An objectively deplorable attitude by more than one server compounded with an indifferent manager made us feel like being there was a personal insult to each and every one of them.

While there were absolutely positive aspects to our experience, they were utterly eclipsed by the above and I will not allow A Ponent even a morsel of a chance...

If you are on holidays or if you live here, do not waste your time even trying to think of coming here. Two of their staff should not even think of working in hospitality service because they hate their job and they give that to the customers. We brought a friend for a drink and the waiter bringing the drinks rudely told him to take the drink as he is a tourist... OK.. We asked then to order food, the eyes were rolled and when I asked for the bill, the guy literally threw the bill on the table.. So your choice if you want to visit this...

SI ESTÁS PENSANDO EN COMER AQUÍ, PRIMERO TE RECOMIENDO QUE LEAS NUESTRA EXPERIENCIA DE HOY:

-Nos tienen esperando 26 minutos de reloj desde que nos toman nota hasta que nos sirven las bebidas.

-Después de otros 15 minutos, nos traen todos los entrantes y antes del pan con alioli (el cual no apareció ni siquiera después) nos sirven los boquerones sin limón, y, después de pedirlo un par de veces, nunca nos llegó a la mesa.

-TODOS los camareros estaban perdidos, dando vueltas por toda la terraza con bandejas llenas de bebidas sin saber dónde estaban comandadas, y a nosotros nos han querido servir comida que ni hemos pedido.

-Una cosa que me ha parecido muy curiosa en este sitio y que nunca había visto antes, es que los propios clientes fruto de la desesperación optaban por servirse desde la barra ellos mismos el pan con alioli, botellas de vino con hielera incluida, y bebida.

-En estas 2 horas comiendo aquí, he presenciado más de 4 quejas de las mesas de alrededor, a lo cual las camareras extremadamente groseras y justificando el mal servicio porque están muy cansadas… sin comentarios

-No voy ni a hablar del producto de si es bueno o malo, pero conseguir que el arroz quede tan duro en el sitio en el que estamos y que haya tardado tanto, tiene que ser todo un reto.

Dicho esto: ni el mejor restaurante o con el mejor producto se podría permitir el lujo de hacer esperar tanto, y ni el peor restaurante habría hecho las cosas tan mal.

-Una lástima por la ubicación, ya que es un sitio privilegiado y tiene unas vistas espectaculares, pero no volveremos. No lo recomiendo ni aunque tengáis todo el tiempo del mundo...
