On a cold December afternoon I decided to try their hot chocolates. I've tried their dark chocolates before as this famous Spanish chocolate maker's products are widely available in retail outlets. However I was disappointed with the mug of hot chocolate.
I ordered a mug of the new dark chocolate 52% cacao beans with crushed almonds. It was served only luke warm which is disappointing especially in winter. It tasted way too sweet so I suggest they should substantially reduce the sugar content. The mug of 70% cacao dark chocolate was better not too sweet but it was only served luke warm in temperature.
I tried the freshly made churros. They were served warm so better than the hot chocolate. They tasted good and crispy but we're let down by being covered in too much cooking oil so I suggest they should remove excess oil before serving the churros.
Overall the service from the young guys working was good. The order arrived quickly. The atmosphere in the establishment was nice and cozy. There's quite a lot of margin for improvement so the overall rating they've received to date is a...

But when I went back in the night at 3 augustus the server was really rude. She came to our table while we just sat down. We were just looking in the menus, she didn't say a thing. When we were ready to order she wasn't paying attention and looking up while we were repeating. Then she went to help customers at the ice stand, after 5 minutes she remembered (I guess) to tell the person in the kitchen to enter our order. After it was done we got it on our table without a word, after we payed we said 'de nada' because even when we payed she was still silent. After that she gave a fake smile for a second before returning to emotionless face.
TLDR:
Service in the afternoon great, evening...
Read moreFor Churros and chocolate, Valor is the place to go. Tonight was a very busy night, and yet we didn't have to wait long to be served. And we didn't have to wait long to have our orders served to the table, although the waitress did made a mistake of bringing us an alcoholic beer when we ordered a non-alcoholic beer. But she was happy to change it.
Churros are always nice and freshly made. You know they are fresh because they are really hot. Freshly fried out of the oil. Chocolate is rich and thick enough to coat the churros when you dip them in it. And the chocolate isn't too sweet.
There are many other items on the menu. However, price wise, I think it's a little high. May be it's ok for tourists, but as a local, it's definitely not a place that I would...
