la Casa De Matias — Restaurant in el Campello

The food was pretty good at Casa Matias, the steaks were delicious. I can highly recommend them.

The service however was not so good. Items from the menu were forgotten and we were not given new, clean plates to eat our food despite ordering one of the sharing platters, simple things that should not have been an issue.

Nos gustaba muchísimo y era nuestro preferido, pero tuvimos una muy mala experiencia con el trato recibido, escribí para ir con la familia y un invitado, era domingo y sabíamos que estaban llenos, pero el señor Matias nos indicó que vayamos a las 4 aprox que vería cómo acomodarnos pues estaba full. Llegamos a la hora y me acerqué a decirle que ya habíamos llegado y que esperaríamos a lo que se pueda. Eso hicimos nos paramos a un lado de la puerta, después de varios minutos de la nada se acerca y nos dice enfadado molesto irritado que tenemos que esperar pues nos está haciendo un favor, a lo que le dijimos está bien estamos esperando nadie te está apurando, y vuelve a responder de forma grosera sin tacto alguno, molesto y alterado que teníamos que esperar pues él había dicho que estaban llenos, que nos estaba haciendo un favor así que no le dijéramos nada. Respondo no te hemos dicho nada, ni te estamos exigiendo nada estamos esperando acá, pero no entiendo porque te molestas. Lamentablemente a ninguno de nosotros nos gusto ese maltrato, por lo que inmediatamente nos retiramos, obviamente no regresaremos nunca más. El trato al cliente es fundamental cuando uno brinda un servicio, y si uno está en un mal día pues no atiende a los clientes. No de puede maltratar a un cliente de esa manera. Muy desagradable, nos malogró el domingo y el almuerzo. Obviamente no volveremos ni toda la familia y amigos tampoco. No nos hace un favor señor Matias, y ni siquiera si fuera así un cliente merece recibir ese trato, si ha tenido un mal día pues...

Love the place. Been going here for a number of years and it's consistently good. The people are friendly and welcoming, and it's always nice to start the day with a coffee and finish it with a meal in the evening, or just chill with a few drinks with friends.
