Restaurant "Asia Li" — Restaurant in el Campello

This restaurant is a regular for us when we are in town. It's a bit off the main drag but worth it.

The restaurant itself is large and spacious and the decor and table and chairs feel very authentic which adds to the good feel of the place. The staff are always pleasant and are quick to serve you. The toilets have seen better days, they need to get the locks sorted and the mens urinals are really high up (according to my husband.. for ref he is 5ft11)

FOOD!.. They offer great set menus! Of a few varieties so should be something for everyone. Great price too! We rarely go for anything else but we do often add on extras from the main menu... (try the Vietnamese rolls! They are superb!)

We mainly go for the 'Special set menu'

It includes 2 starters, a main, rice/ noodles, a dessert and I believe a drink. All for €15.95 I believe. They give you a few Prawn and thai crackers while you wait.

The soup was AMAZING! so fragrant and tasty. Sau mai is always lovely and they bring the dip too which is like a vinegar and soy mix. The main dishes are plentiful and yummy. Me and my husband go halves on our main and rice/noodles. Prawns are large and come with lots of mushrooms and onions sizzling on a hot plate. Beef very nice too.

Sorbet was lovely and refreshing. Husband says cheesecake was nice.

We had red wine to drink, the basic red wine and was very nice! I drink red wine alot and this was very palatable.

We got offered a shot before we left and both had sours I think. They also have limonchello and similar to baileys.

Always come out with full bellies so a nice stroll along the playa which is up and across the road is nice.

We lived in Campello area for many years and have been coming regularly ever since the restaurant opened and have never had a bad meal. Tonight was no exception, the food was as good as ever, more so because we have moved to another area of Spain and we were really looking forward to our meal tonight. However for the very first time they tried to overcharge us, charging us for the 2 drinks we had which are always included in the menu. We brought it to their attention and it was obvious that they were just trying it on, they had no excuse. How many unsuspecting tourists they must have overcharged during the summer and got away with it. Such a disappointment.
