Bar Pizzeria L'Appetitosa — Restaurant in El Sauzal

Amazing Italian food and service at little bar on the corner.

My mother sister and I ate at appetitosa on a Saturday in November 2023. We had already had tapas elsewhere so we were looking for something with smaller more affordable options and appetitosa fit the bill perfectly. The place is small, with 3 tables on the street and around 5 inside. Atmosphere is easy, cozy and a bit bar like. What helps the atmosphere feel good is the very friendly staff, very welcoming and helpful. We opted for only a main dish, getting a pasta pesto, mushroom truffle risotto and the aubergine pizza. All three options were excellent, with the risotto even outstanding. Their menu is very large so plenty of good options to try. They also have many desert options so we tried 3. All of them were very rich and large, with the pannacotta getting the vote for best one.

Great place, delicious pizzas and super friendly service, all enjoyed at a very reasonable price.

Price: My wife and I visited today (2024-02-09) and had two of the most expensive pizzas on the menu, two glasses of house red, a large bottle of water, and for dessert, one barraquito and one café solo. Total around €20 per person.

Food: The pizzas had delicious crust, baked just to the right consistency and "burn rate", and copious toppings. That, and the size of the pizzas, will ensure you won't leave hungry.

Service: Can't get much better. The owner is Italian himself, from Verona. Friendly and helpful in an unassuming, natural way.

Location: At the corner of two streets a bit off town centre. One-way streets may require some navigation if you're by car, but it is not really difficult to find.

We really enjoyed our visit to Bar Pizzeria L' Appetitosa, with the love and attention, that had gone into the food ❤️ Freshly made! We were welcomed and felt at home, the service was friendly and helpful. My partner had Pizza Italia which was a delicious combination of rocket, serrano ham and parmiggiano.
