Pizzeria PAPILLON — Restaurant in Elda

We were visiting a friend who has lived in Elda for most of his life and told us this restaurant existed when he was a child. But it is now under new ownership - a Ukranian family - and the current incarnation is truly wonderful. The outdoor seating is on a quiet street across the street from a plaza where kids can play while waiting for food to arrive. There are four set menus and many options for a la carte salads, pizzas, and pasta dishes. My wife and I had a pizza and salad and out kids had spaghetti bolognese. We had spent an hour walking around looking for a place that was open and could seat us, and everyone was in a bad mood. We were in Elda for a day, looked for a place to have a pizza and found this pizzeria, without having any expectations. The place turned out to be a hidden gem! The pizza and everything else we tried was amazing! The owners, lovely Oksana and her husband, put a lot if love and soul in what they do. We had the Menú Papillon which was a really good 6 course meal including a nice glass of good wine for only 22€ pp. Peanuts, olives Russian salad Vegetables in tempura Patatas bravas 4 gyozas (Japanese dumplings) Solomillo (sirloin) and sweet peppers Baked cheesecake with red berries Cortado
