Cafetería HARRY The Coffee Collective — Restaurant in Elx / Elche

Been in here twice in the last two weeks. The first time, I ordered a particular sandwich and could see there was only one available. We paid at the till and wasn’t given a receipt, not important I thought. Taking the disc they give, we sat and waited for it to light up. After some 20minutes it did, only to be told they had sold the sandwich to someone else. I asked at the till for my money back as we had already waited 20 minutes. The waitress then asked the lady on the till to return the money. After her huffing and puffing and asking for the receipt several times, that we were never given, she very pleasantly threw the money on the counter in front of us. So, being fare and giving a second chance, I went in again today, same woman on till. I made my order and this time I was given a receipt, but no disc. The waitress preparing the orders, asked if it was takeaway or eat in, I said eat in. She asked me to take a seat, with the disc. I told her I wasn’t given one, she asked the lady on the till, again, like it was everyone else’s fault, she told the waitress it’s just a coffee and cake and I could wait. I’m not sure who HARRY is, but if he reads this, you need to get a grip of your staff, service, attitude and try to reduce, what I can only describe as chaos behind the counter. Maybe if all the people not working or chatting to their friends were kicked out, customers may get a better service. The coffee is very nice and a nice selection of food. Less than 6 people waiting/eating, we waited 24 minutes for our notifier to go off. Coffee tasted very nice, but was far from hot. I had my first Tostada in Spain, it was cold lacked taste and based on that I will never order another. The staff need training to speed up their service, serve hot food and coffee. If they can't do it when they only have 6 customers, they are doomed. Would I visit...

Stopped for a quick cortado while the fam was in Pull and Bear. Place was SLAMMED, but staff were quick cleaning tables and wiping them down, from order to drink 6 minutes. 30 minutes free wifi on your receipt. Water free with coffee. Bus your own tables, Europeans, it makes things easier on everyone rather than leaving a mess for staff, and unsightly for...
