La Tía Juana Elche ️ — Restaurant in Elx / Elche

The fruit drinks are nice, but a bit expensive (€5,90). We had the queso as a starter. It was melted cheese with some meat and red and green colored onions. (€12.99)

We had asked for some hot sauce (Lacrimas de Lucifer €1,99) to go with it, but it came at the end of the meal. We decided to share 2 types of tacos. One was just cheesy sauce and some meat. The other was mole with some type of sweet in it. The tacos were €12,99 for 2, with no rice or beans.

Service wasn't great. Our server spent most of our visit sitting at a table talking to someone.

We were craving some good Mexican food, drove all the way here to spend €50, and left...

We had a very disappointing visit to this restaurant. The staff was extremely unfriendly and didn’t make us feel welcome. None of the waiters spoke English, and instead of honestly saying they didn’t understand us, they just pretended to – which only made the situation more uncomfortable.

The food did not taste good at all, and throughout the meal the waiters kept giving us unfriendly looks. It was impossible to feel comfortable there.

When it came time to pay, the waiter even added €2 as a tip without asking us first – which I find absolutely unacceptable.

I cannot recommend...

Desde el momento en que entramos, fuimos recibidos con una cálida hospitalidad que se mantuvo a lo largo de toda nuestra estancia. El ambiente es acogedor y vibrante, decorado con elementos que evocan la rica cultura mexicana, creando una atmósfera ideal para disfrutar de una buena comida.

El menú es una celebración de los sabores tradicionales de México, y cada plato que probamos fue una delicia para el paladar. Los tacos al pastor, las enchiladas y el guacamole destacaron por su autenticidad y frescura. Cada bocado estaba lleno de sabor, y la calidad de los ingredientes era evidente.

Sin embargo, lo que realmente hizo que nuestra visita fuera inolvidable fue el servicio. El camarero que nos atendió fue extraordinario: atento, amable y muy conocedor de la carta. Nos ayudó a elegir los mejores platos y siempre estuvo disponible para asegurarse de que nuestra experiencia fuera perfecta.

En resumen, Restaurante Tía Juana no solo ofrece una comida mexicana exquisita, sino que también brinda un servicio excepcional.
