Chiringuito "PACO" — Restaurant in Estepona

To whom it may concern: I would like to express my great disappointment this evening when my family (6 people, 2 children going into the water and 1 sleeping in a stroller) requested a table for 3 at 7:15 PM (there were plenty of tables available with no reservation sign). We were reluctantly given a table, but since we were coming back from the beach, I asked two staff members if we could move to another table to watch the children swim, and they both said yes. When we moved, the woman who initially served us rudely told us no, as all the other tables were reserved (again, plenty of free tables with no reservation sign). I understand this is the transition from lunch to dinner. We had dinner here a few days ago at the recommendation of our parents, who live on Silva Street and eat there regularly. Avoid! The worst Chiringuito in Estepona with quite possibly the rudest staff I’ve ever encountered. When entering the restaurant the bar was messy, tables uncleared and dirty. Upon asking if it was possible to book a table the rude waitress said ‘not possible’ and walked away with an attitude, after asking again if it was possible to book tomorrow she proceed ignore me, walked off and spoke to her colleague in Spanish, not knowing that I understood everything she was saying. ‘’No le sirvas a esta persona‘’

Part of hospitality is customer service, trying to belittle your customers because you think they’re all on holiday and don’t speak Spanish isn’t how the industry works.

Had a seafood paella and it was absolutely delicious. It was packed with fresh delicious seafood. The time it takes to come out reflects the high quality and freshness of the paella. Book in advance for lunch, you will not be able to book for supper as the restaurant will fill up every evening. The only thing that needs improvement is the toilets, only because it is next to the beach and people use the toilets to change but that is not the restaurant's fault. Overall absolutely amazing definitely recommend. This place is so good it doesn't need good reviews as it is already very popular.
