originally there was no tables and was told to come back, we was fine with this as we hadn’t booked and it’s a very popular busy restaurant, we was about to find a bar to have a drink before we came back as we really wanted to eat here then i think it was the owner who came and grabbed us and said he can sort us a table in 5 minutes, and that he did. all the staff where so friendly and knowledgeable over the menu. I even asked the waiter to pick a tuna dish for me, and i’m so glad she did. I highly recommend the red tuna sirloin in home made gravy, it sounds odd to me being paired with the gravy but it has to be the best dish i’ve had since i’ve been coming to the costa del sol. we had scallops to start which where amazing and my partner had the lamb shank, i tried this and yes it was very very nice. 5 star for this restaurant, i will be coming back here on my future trips and i will certainly book next time.
just to mention one of us has a nut allergy. and she made sure everything was fine with the dishes we ordered, the scallops had pesto sauce and she made sure the chef put this separate so i could still have it...
Read moreWhat a fabulous atmosphere and good service too. Food varied, so lets get to that. Starter of roll of baby lamb was amazing, tasty, tender and unusual. If you like lamb you can't go wrong with this. The much hyped ravioli stuffed with pear and roasted walnuts is delicious, if you enjoy slightly sweeter appetizers. We had the rabo de toro (oxtail stew) which was also very tasty and tender but quite salty (and we both like salt). That is not the final call on the oxtail though as with my second to last fork full I had to pull a 10" long black hair out of the food. I brought this to our server's attention. He was very apologetic. We would have at a minimum expected a manager to come out and offer an apology. Instead they sent our poor server back with the message that they would be happy to provide a replacement plate of oxtail. By this time we are full anyway (remember it was my second to last bite). So that was a real downer for us after the recommendation from our hotel and seeing other reviews. One last thing .... the drinks were...
Read moreWe had a fantastic time at this restaurant. The service was impeccable, and the food was unique with an extensive and exciting menu. We went for our anniversary, and the waiter went out of his way to give us a truly memorable experience.
We started with tapas, including tuna on a shiso leaf, and for my main I had artichokes with tuna. Oh my lord—this was one of the most wonderful dishes I’ve ever eaten. The artichokes were cooked to perfection. My husband had the Iberian pork cheeks, glazed with teriyaki and served on a bed of the most amazing mashed potatoes—absolutely to die for.
For dessert, my husband enjoyed an interpretation of five different types of chocolate, while I had a chocolate volcano with a delicate miso ice cream topped with freeze-dried raspberries, finished with a beautiful sauce.
We shared a bottle of Bollinger to celebrate, and the whole experience was simply wonderful. We chose to go at lunchtime, as we love dining during the day and people-watching, and it turned out to be an...
