Yesterday my family and I went to try the food at this restaurant, and to be honest our expectations were high given the type of restaurant it was. But our disappointment started right at the entrance, when David, who I believe is the host of your restaurant, was rude and lacked any empathy with the customers. He was probably more interested in being behind the column fiddling with his mobile phone than doing his job, which was to welcome the guests. When we entered the restaurant it was empty, so I asked if I could sit at a table overlooking the beach, which was promptly denied, as I was told that all the tables were booked. So far so good, I understood perfectly. What's worse is that afterwards we overheard the chef de partie Juan Carlos telling other customers who didn't have a reservation like us that they could use the tables because the table was only booked for 3pm. I hope David's service wasn't because of the style of clothes he was wearing, as we had come from the beach. Little did he know that he was serving someone who is the restaurant manager of a hotel as prestigious as theirs. Of course we were saddened because for the money you spend in your restaurant everyone should feel welcome. When we come to a restaurant like yours where we pay good money, we expect excellent service, but for a 5-star hotel and restaurant it leaves a lot to be desired. What stands out on the positive side was the attentive service of Chef de Cuisine Juan Carlos and José Félix. They were super attentive and friendly and always bothered to ask if everything was as we wanted it to be. Their service was five stars, which made us forget a little about how coldly we were greeted at the restaurant. The view really gives the restaurant an extra charm and as for the food, we can't fault it because everything was really good. The chicken cannelloni and crayfish black rice were very tasty. In the end, the chef de room Juan Carlos and Jose Feliz were kind enough to come and apologise for the bad service that the host Davi had given us. All in all, a positive visit, but not an excellent one, for a restaurant that has a standard of service and food that is not for...
Read moreAlicia was responsible for our table service and did an amazing job. We were with our 3 year old child and she was super thoughtful towards his well-being. She also suggested plates and deserts according to what we had in mind for the meal. Really good work. As for the environment, it is most likely one of the best places to have lunch - nice sun but well protected, near the beach and wonderful music. The food is good (I will repeat) but it misses a touch of excellence (considering it sits at one of the most beautiful Calas in Menorca and is a part of the 5 star Meliá Cala Galdana). The wine list falls short of the...
Read moreTop place for a dinner with a view or a romantic dinner. I was alone and I got a table overlooking the sunset. Alicia and Sergio were wonderful hosts. I wanted arroz, but they only make it for two. I asked Alicia if they can make an exception and they did. The rice was with seafood and smoked eel (super delicious), I recommend it. The service was great, they make you feel so welcome. There was live music, so I stayed longer. Totally recommend on your vacation in Cala Galdana. I am coming back definitely, this time for a...
