Bla Bla Café — Restaurant in Ferrol

The atmosphere of the place is pretty good, and the food is decent, so in that respect the place would earn maybe four stars.

However... there are a couple downsides, one of them serious. First, the daily menu options are extremely limited. A choice of two, or even one dish makes this the most limited menu I have seen in Spain.

Second... the service. I wanted to say something good about them, I really wanted, but they make it very difficult. They are slow, unattentive and the attitude of the waitress was cold and abrupt.

I heard in other comments that the staff are not well treated here, and I can only imagine that attitude ends leaking to the way they treat customers. Or perhaps it is only foreigners that get treated that way? They seem somewhat warmer with the locals, which I don't find particularly cool either. Discrimination isn't a good policy if you are in...

Nuestra experiencia en este local fue, por decirlo suavemente, decepcionante y frustrante. Estábamos disfrutando tranquilamente de nuestra consumición cuando, al pedir la segunda ronda, y estando preparada en la barra, nos dicen que tenemos que irnos porque supuestamente la mesa estaba reservada. ¿Reservada? Ni cartel, ni aviso previo, ni una sola señal que lo indicara. Al pedir explicaciones, nos salen con que a partir de cierta hora esa zona es del restaurante, algo que tampoco se indicaba en ningún sitio. Lo peor es que nos ofrecen quedarnos "si picamos algo", lo cual dejó claro que lo de la reserva era sencillamente una mentira para echarnos.

Por si fuera poco, alrededor había mesas vacías y otras ocupadas por personas que seguían tranquilamente con sus bebidas. ¿Cuál fue el criterio para echarnos solo a nosotras? Porque lo lógico, si la zona realmente estuviera reservada, habría sido informar al sentarnos, no cuando ya habíamos consumido y estábamos pidiendo más.

La gota que colmó el vaso fue el episodio con la hoja de reclamaciones. En lugar del libro oficial, nos entregaron unas fotocopias sin numerar ni sellar. Lo único que conseguimos fue un garabato del encargado, que más parecía una burla que una solución. Ahora lamentamos no haber llamado a la policía local, pero desde luego no descarto tomar medidas más serias.

No se puede tratar así a los clientes. Si algo está reservado o hay normas, se informa desde el principio o de otras formas. Lo mínimo que espero de un establecimiento es que gestione las reclamaciones de manera legal y correcta. La sensación que me quedó fue la de una falta absoluta de respeto y profesionalidad.

No recomiendo este sitio a nadie que espere ser tratado...

Beautifully decorated and spacious cafe.

The staff, however, were very unfriendly, and we are still trying to figure out why. At times it seemed like they ignored us, and spoke to us with one or two words maximum. To order a second round of coffee we had to wait 30 minutes, until we decided to just get the bill by walking to the counter. Again: only the price was uttered without eye contact. No please, no thank...
