We ordered cannelloni for a 5-year-old girl. They brought it on a plate, and while serving it, the waitress mentioned that it was hot. As soon as she placed it on the table, the girl touched it and got burned. The plate was scorching, causing rashes on her fingers. I tried to remove the plate from her, and I got burned too. I grabbed all the napkins to drag it towards my side, onto a plastic mat. The waitress moved the plate away to the side because it was burning the plastic. When we asked why they served such a hot plate directly from the oven in front of a child, they told us they had warned us and that it was the father's responsibility for letting her touch it.
When the owner (I assume) came, he mocked the child, telling her not to touch the knives because they cut, saying it sarcastically. That's when we asked for the complaint form (in English), and they pretended not to understand. I asked for it in Spanish, and as soon as they brought it, the insults started. They called us idiots. The owner said we were more concerned with complaining than our daughter. He told us to run to the doctor to have the girl's hand cut off, which scared her, and we had to calm her down, assuring her that no one would cut off her hand. I asked four times for a pen, which the waiter threw at my face from a distance without looking at us. I filled out the complaint form while they continued insulting our “lack of manners”, now together with a woman (his wife I assume).
Throughout this ordeal, no one asked how the child was doing except a young waiter who was attending other tables. In the end, they also yelled at us for bringing a water bottle (we didn’t drink it, we ordered two water bottles). It was 40°C outside, so yes, we had a water bottle with us. When we wanted to leave, another waiter came to us to yell at us, which we ignored. We ended up visiting a pharmacy nearby, who was shocked when she saw the burns. We are taking this matter with our layer.
I could add more details but I believe this shows how these people are. Now it’s up to you if you want to give them your money.
Attached is a photo of a finger to show the kind of plate they serve to...
Read moreShame I cannot give zero stars. I have multiple food allergies, so I asked about them at once, but the waitress seemed very unhappy about it and couldn't specify in general. Thus, I asked whether the additions that go with the fish contain milk and the lady informed me that they are safe. After a while, she brought me only the fried fish out of the whole meal, because the rest of it has dairy. I kindly said that it would be nice to know it before ordering (I wanted to try the orange sauce do badly!). She replied that there are many dishes in their restaurant, and it is impossible to remember all of the ingredients. Therefore, my boyfriend reminded her that I asked about it specifically, and she could have done her job better and just ask in the kitchen.
She started to scream like some crazy person, whipped the plates off our hands (both my boyfriend's and my fish) and bawled that "we will eat somewhere else!!" We left and ate in some other place indeed, where there was no problem with checking the ingredients and the staff was kind and helpful, even though they did not speak English and we are not Spanish. It was Can Jordi - I can recommend it with all my heart!
Actually, all of the restaurants I visited in Spain were great, except this one, that was not able to identify the composition of their own meals either using the allergens table or asking the chef. The waitress' English was not good either, so there is a possibility she did not understand entirely what was happening.
If you have an allergy, do not go there - I believe you can...
