Apalaxa — Restaurant in Fisterra

I had a terrible experience at Apalaxa. I came for the menu del dia and chose a salad and fish. The salad was just salad with a few tasteless tomatoes and graded carrots, while the olive oil came in individual plastic containers. The fish was worse. Basically, it was boiled potatoes with fried poor quality fish. It didn't taste like anything. But the dessert managed to outperform the rest: I ordered ice-cream and it was basically some highly chemical ice-cream served in a plastic yogurt pot. To make matters worse, most of the waiters couldn't care less about the clients and you could clearly tell they didn't want to be...

Great spot to relax, have a lovely lunch, great staff to help you with menu choices and excellent value. Sit under the umbrellas, relax and enjoy the view. We had paella for two on our first visit, we loved it so much we went back the next day for menu del dia - you won't be disappointed. Excellent value. We initially went to the one next door but it was much more expensive and the waiting staff were unhelpful and not interested in service. The team here are a helpful and attentive team and have a smile ....all in a primo location. Great stuff - don't miss out on this...

We stopped here on a coach tour. It looked busy and the prices were good so we figured it was a good choice. However the seats were uncomfortable and worse still, the service was very very slow. So slow in fact that an hour and 15 minutes later I received my meal. My poor son never got his at all. An hour and a half after sitting down we had to go and catch our coach and my son had to go hungry for the day (I would have given him my meal but it was meat and he's vegetarian). This has been the worst restaurant experience of my life. Avoid....
