Wonderful food and very attentive and smiling staff that were kind to let me have some spicy oil for my soy sauce-fried mushroom pasta, and instantly came with more napkins when we asked for them. Got a taste of the pizzas from the others in my group, also very good, and nice dough.
The tiramisú was light and soft, mild in taste, but good.
Also tried the oreo cake, which had less taste; I'm on a personal quest for oreo desserts that focus more on the sweet oreo cream rather than the cocoa biscuits. While good, the cake wasn't what I'm looking for. The cream of the cake is like an oreo milkshake in cake format. Nicely and delicately presented, though I couldn't eat it all because I tasted everyone else's pizzas... (a.k.a. ate too much)
They open fairly early, and both pizza and pasta were available from the menu right away. Payment happens down in the bar, which is fine by me.
My only regret is not insisting to pay for our table with card, when my group of five decided to pay up separately with cash, and the heroic waitress did her best to count the money while all of us blocked the staircase for other waiters carrying pizza.
I give the food and staff a 5/5
And my group gets 2/5 for being a total embarrassment at the end. Plus points for sharing...
Read moreArrived in Finisterre the other day and just happened upon this restaurant along the seafront. Lots of restaurants to choose from in this small town but we were lucky we came upon this one. Super friendly service and delicious food. The most beautiful home made croquettes and wonderful real Italian style pizzas. My wife had the chicken salad with honey and mustard dressing which she thoroughly enjoyed. We finished off sharing a dessert of Goats cheesecake. A first time trying thst. It was unusual but very tasty. A great experience for a meal. If we were passing through the area we would 100% return to this little gem....
