Lovely beach side restaurant. We had a lovely lunch there. The atmosphere was great and how can it be otherwise? The sun was shining for one and the people are beautiful. Everyone is having a great time.
We came to the restaurant by boat from the Marina in Ibiza. We stopped for a swim in a couple of little island on way to Chezz Gerdi. It was a lovely journey.
It reminds me of our journey to The Hut on the Isle of Wight from Poole. Except for the fact that most of the time it wasn’t warm enough to have a dip in the water before we went ashore to have our lunch.
Chezz Gerdi is a beautiful restaurant in a beautiful location. The view towards the beach and the sea is absolutely spectacular. The food was good too.
The staff was attentive and service was good. We didn’t have to wait long for starters, drinks and main courses.
The decoration in the restaurant has a chilled vibe and the photography art on the wall is striking.
There is also a shop on site that is worth a little look if you are on the hunt for a flowery vibrant shirt for the boys or some sexy but elegant beach outfits for the ladies.
The only slight negative point ( I really likes the place but I feel responsible to tell you this) they didn’t have any of the fans on so we were quite hot sitting inside at 3pm in the afternoon and we had a small child with us and she was a little bit over heated by the end of it. I can’t remember the reason why the fans were not on throughout the restaurant, maybe something was broken? I have no idea. In spite of that we still had a lovely time, and a lovely journey back to Ibiza on our boat. One suggestion: maybe if you’re going in the height of summer next time, perhaps a handheld fan would probably be a very good idea, just to keep you cool and chilled while you enjoy your food and drinks at...
Read moreThe place has very good vibe and looks cosy. Unfortunately, thats about positives. Starting from the fact that bottled water appears on your table suddenly and is being poured to your glasses without any question from the waiter raised a flag. Then long wait for the waiter to order food, just to found out that with first server you can order drinks only as you can not order food with the same person. Then bread and olive comes. Food waiting time is not super long but unfortunately food Quality is below average. I ordered grilled octopus and for the Island food ( where sea food should be fresh and delicious), this one was salty, half burnt and simply way below how it should be. When the Bill comes, check your numbers twice: we were charged twice for one bottle of water and Four times for a basket of bread and olives. To be fair, when asked waiter, they corrected the bill, however water charge (served without asking a guest first) and bread +olives ( which is more the standard in other restaurants) seems a bit off. To summarize: nice (looking) place with a greedy tourist policy. Try to find a better place to eat your dinner...
Read morePros: -The spot is amazing, with a great view Let them to choose the wine. They know what they're talking about Quality of food is great. -Most of the waiters and managers deliver a 5 stars service. Cons: the prices are mental when we compare with the other similar restaurants in the area the quantity of food is ridiculously small. 27 euros for 3 small pieces of octupus. Come on! check your bill. They charge you for the bread with olives even when you didn't touch it. For this level of restaurant I found this pretty shocking. Guys, your prices are already very high. I don't think you need to scam your customers for 5 extra euros. a waitress was extremely insistent to make me order something else every 5 minutes or was asking me if I wanted the bill. During 15mn she was flying around me, making me feel I needed to leave. Guys: when we pay 100 euros for a lunch I think we have the right to enjoy 5 minutes and take the time to drink our 10 euros glass of wine, nope ? I really felt like I was in a $15 all you can eat...
