Too busy. They open at 1pm and we went around 1.30 and there were no more tables available and at least 5 tables before us. We ate there a couple of years ago and the quality was very good but I think that this is not the case anymore. The staff wasn't very helpful and ignored people at the door. My mother in law is 80 years old and got there by taxi earlier than the rest of us so she was the one to try to get a table for all of us. She was told that she had to wait. She ask for a chair and ordered a drink (trying to make a consumption whilst she was waiting for us and the table). She wasn't told that there were already 5 tables before her and on top of everything she had to sit on the street with a chair and they told her that she could sit until the other staff would find out and then she would have to stand up because the chairs were for the customers. I don't understand what kind of customer service is that and what kind of business leaves an 80 year old woman that clearly can't walk or stand for long, waiting outside a restaurant and warned to be quiet because it wasn't allowed to be seated whilst waiting for a table. We left and went around the corner to a place called El Cosquin that is an argentinian grilled meat restaurant that was cheap and the meat excellent, so were also the owner and their staff. I am very happy that we discovered this place out of the horrible experience we had...
Read moreI think we turned up wrong time wrong place. Sunday lunch time is a busy time for the local population to meet and greet. This place was starting to fill up at one when we decided to join the clientele for a spot of lunch with a drink. I think we were the only British people in the restaurant which soon became very busy. Firstly, we seemed to be not a priority. Then the order was out of turn. We had nearly finished are main course when the waiter had to be reminded that the starter as described on the menu had not been served. We did expect the starter to come with the main course, tapas style, just help yourself. Drinks were fine, mussels in hot sause, good. And starters simple but nice. This would of been my first time not tipping in a very long time. The main reason was that when the waiter throws various items on your table and does not have the courtesy to try and communicate and his final piece was to sling the bill on its metal tray from a great distance as if to say sling your hook. If you do still fancy a bite to eat at a predominately fish restaurant, I would choose you visiting times wisely and don't have the shrimp omelette which has never seen an egg and could be used to grease QEll engine room. Sorry for the awful review, I would normally walk away and forget the whole affair,...
Read moreMe and my partner went there one evening as we had seen it during the day time and we wanted to eat fish. .The service was appalling a young man and women waiters having full blown shouting match at each other. Out side was full so we went inside . There was no one to take us to a table so we just picked our own.. The table was sticky and glagy. Afte 15 minutes I tried to get a waiter to take our order. The shouting match was still going on at this point. In the end we decided we did not want to eat in a place with such bad service and we left. I felt we made the right choice to leave. It is more like cafeteria and we prefer a Restaurant with good service for our evening meal. This place was more like a snack bar environment.. So we change and went for Indian instead at restaurant on the front called plenty of flavours. Excellent food and...
