Updated 2023.11.16 Desperate Dans is one of several dining places in Fuengirola serving British style pub food. We ordered their €11 homemade pie meal to share for two choosing mince meat and onion, which includes a choice of mash or chips, and a side of mashed peas. A small selection of beers. Outdoor seating is available, weather permitting.
There are migrants of African origin swooping down every few minutes hawking their merchandise on the dining customers if you're sitting outdoors. Ignoring them is the best to minimize their interaction. After a few rounds, they learn to leave you alone. Service is slow and inefficient but very friendly.

Read moreVisited on a weekday for breakfast, zero other customers (fair enough it's off season). Menu does state no swops however being as we were the only ones there, thought I'd ask, could I have fried bread - NO! Even the type of egg was dependant on how busy they are apparently! Erm.....no other tables occupied.....everywhere is super quiet......and you can't do fried bread rather than toast? Perhaps the cook can't cook?!
It's in a car park in the port, no view, no appeal, food average, no other customers, can you afford to be so picky with a basic request?
We found later there were more cafe options through the other side with a better view so if the food was as average you'd at least have something to look at rather than listening to the whinging...
