Mesón De Bravo — Restaurant in Fuengirola

Omg what a complete nightmare. 6 of us sat down for dinner. We've eaten here a few times and we were really looking forward to a great meal. Sat down ordered 3 starters to share, 2 bottles of wine, beer and water. Having a joke with our waitress. The restaurant became quite busy quickly. 5 of us ordered sirloin steak, 3 cooked medium rare and 2 medium, 4 served with chips and 1 with a jacket potato and 1 pork dish, all were to come with accompanying vegetables. The order was repeated back to us and off the order went. The starters arrived, all good. The pork dish arrived with 1 dish of mixed vegetables. The waitress then brought out 1 sirloin steak as previously ordered, then she placed a beef fillet down, not a fillet steak but a round cut of beefsteak? I said we didn't order this, she went away, came back and said that's what we ordered. Now we know exactly what we ordered as we only eat sirloin, beefsteak was definitely not mentioned. It gets better.... so 2 people had their food and the other 4 had to wait for them to cook what we had originally ordered. About 15 minutes later the 4 other sirloin steaks appear. 3 rare and 1 medium. We had to ask for our steak sauces as only 1 was brought out. We also had to send 1 steak back as it was rare and we had ordered 2 medium. My steak came with chips, I had ordered jacket potato. Also the vegetables that were brought out with the pork dish earlier which were now cold, were meant to be shared between 6 of us. A complete shambles. I asked to speak to the manager. A man in his 30/40s? was sat down out of sight. I had to go up to him and tell him to get up and come and talk to us. It was all so wrong. Apparently he was the owner and he didn't speak a word of English? Never seen this guy before, maybe the restaurant has changed management. The waitress translated what I had to say. No apology, nothing. He had a complete blank expression. Beyond rude. So when the bill came I said aren't you going to take something off the bill for the absolute car crash of a meal. Nada he wasn't. Definitely wont be returning. The steak which was sent back to recook came back and was not fit to eat. A...

We decided to eat at this restaurant because the surrounding area was cozy and the atmosphere was nice, and that is probably the best thing about this restaurant. The food is not particularly good, the onion soup for example didn’t have any flavour and didn’t have a good texture. The steak was better than the soup, but still not very impressive, however the chips were decent. As for the staff they are nice, but they weren’t very often at our table. We had to order our water multiple times before we got it, and when we wanted to get the bill we had to sit around and wait for a good amount of time before we were able to get contact with the staff. Overall this isn’t a restaurant I would recommend since there are better options within 5 minutes...

Amongst the BEST restaurants in Fuengirola. We came here twice during our stay, AMAZING ! Hard to find better quality/price in here. Service was just perfect. Encarni took care of us each time. She was just so lovely and professional.

We tried the gazpacho & sol gratin, so yummy 😋!!! The house white wine was so good that we had to add it to our Vivino list 🍷 !

I would recommend this place with my eyes close. We’ll make sure to come...
