Tako Boy comida Japonesa — Restaurant in Fuengirola

Me and my husband looked into this restaurant before our trip to Spain. ( We came from Ireland) We don't have Japanese restaurants where we live in Ireland (Belfast and Dublin have a handful), so Tako boy is a special find for us. Me and my husband came for a date night dinner and had miso ramen and gyaouza, It was amazing, the portions big so the Miso ramen was big enough for two people and the gyaouza was really delicious especially with the soy and chilli sauce we had. We never had authentic Japanese food and we fell in love. The restaurant is small and run by one man and he was very nice. We returned to the restaurant two days later with our two children had the same meal shared between the four of us but with extra rice as our toddler loves rice, the owner brought out cute child friendly plates for them. The meal was amazing again and all four of us was well fed! We where so impressed as was our eldest son who has autism and very picky with food, thought the foos was nice too. I started learning the Japanese language on Duolingo for fun recently so it was nice to try to make use of the 50 words I have learnt so far. We recently (Nov'22) visited Tako Boy, a tiny family-run restaurant. Characteristic, non-sushi, Japanese food. Two-person team. 3 tables outside. The service was very friendly, and most of the food we ordered was above average. However, I was shocked to find out that two tea refills cost 8 euros! The outside seating was nice when warm, but it was a bit too noisy due to the next-door bar and TV handing over the tables. Eating your food while surrounded by cigarette smoke was not fun. Although most of food was great, I found the prices to be very expensive and overpriced, unfortunately I can’t recommend. Pésimo servicio e higiene, la comida está bien pero nada especial, no merece la pena.

Empecemos por la higiene: La mesa donde nos sentamos estaba sucia, cuando nos llevaron a nuestra mesa no se molestaron ni en limpiarla tras irse los anteriores clientes y eso que tenía algo de bebida derramada. Tuvimos que preguntar si nos la podrían limpiar y la camarera con mala cara fue a por un trapo. Cuando fui al baño los azulejos estaban cubiertos de roña y el suelo pegajoso y lleno de papel higiénico. Parece que no habían limpiado el baño en bastante tiempo. En cuanto al servicio: Solo tienen una camarera que es una borde y encima te vacila. Soy vegetariana y le pregunté si habría posibilidad de quitar la carne de algún plato, ella me hizo una mueca de desprecio y me dijo “si, pero pagas el precio completo”, y se empezó a reír. Eramos 4 personas y en vez de traernos los platos a la vez, nos lo trajeron uno a uno. Estuvimos esperando casi 1 hora para el primer plato y eramos la única mesa en el restaurante. Cuando uno terminaba, le traían el plato al siguiente, cosa que no entiendo en absoluto. Hemos tenido que vernos comer los unos a los otros en vez de disfrutar de la comida a la vez. Desde que pedimos hasta que terminó el último de comer pasaron casi 2 horas, y eso que solo pedimos un plato cada uno (dos tallarines y dos ramen). Cuando nos trajeron la cuenta la mujer no se separaba de la mesa, nos estaba presionando preguntando una y otra vez quien iba a pagar sin darnos tiempo de hablar siquiera entre nosotros para ver cómo queríamos hacer el pago. Llegó un punto en el que empezó a darle golpes en el brazo a mi amiga con el datáfono y decirnos “venga, venga”. Ojalá hubiesen tenido esa prisa al hacer la comida…

En fin. La experiencia mala. La comida estaba bien, pero por el precio la verdad es que no es nada del otro mundo. Ni yo ni mis amigos vamos a volver después de recibir este trato, y eso que habíamos escuchado buenas opiniones...
