BEWARE: English are treated with EXTRA contempt Way overpriced for average food, slow service and an aggressive waiter. They avoid checking on food / customers in the knowledge complaint may be coming. Missing half the menu - should have left my reserved table there and then (they didnt inform us before arrival, or in the days prior when reserving) Service made mistakes ie serving a group one plate at a time , and wait extra for the others - had to be told before they offered any apology. Id like this to be mentioned in their book of complaints, but they didnt want me to go inside (wonder why). Aggressive waitress came to shout at me, but all he did was embarass himself and the restaraunt publicly. He also tried to make some random accusations which were false - I think we have been in Spain longer than he had been alive, but he accused it of being our first time here ! Owner must still be in hiding as he didnt want to face customers, his parents who ran it before wouldnt have allowed this to...
Read moreI really don't understand how this place has such good reviews. Here is below a breakdown of what we ordered: Grilled octopus - taste was good, however for 24€ they only served 1 tentacle!!! Mashed potatoes were terrible as they were lumpy and solid. Veggie grilled mix - 10€ for half an onion, half a carrot, 1/4 of an aubergine and half a tomato and half a zucchini. Only the carrot slices were cooked well, the others were kind of raw. In general, an insult for the price 3 fish dishes. The fish was ok, cooked normally. Nothing fancy for a restaurant but decent. However, the side dishes were disgusting, boiled potatoes and boiled veggies.
Our waiter was a sweet accommodating guy, however his colleague at the cashier wasn't at all. Probably was having a bad day but you should keep that for yourself.
Overall, a tourist trap. Below average food at a premium price and the atmosphere doesn't...
Read moreA fairly straightforward looking place, a few minutes back from the coast road that serves an excellent range of good value dishes. When we ate there on a Monday evening, some people had dropped in for a coffee or glass of something along with those, like us wanted a meal. The service was friendly and the food came quickly. However, we found that, after the weekend, not all dishes were available, so we had to return to try their mixed platter on fish. Fortunately, our go to dish of fried aubergine and cane honey was available. We followed it with the fried cheese, which turned out to be very similar to Camembert fritters. Two glasses of Manzanilla went down well with both courses and only cost us 10 Euros. The bill came to under 30 Euros and we added a 5 Euro tip, as service was not included. This place could top our poll as to the best place to eat in...
