Restaurante Plankstek — Restaurant in Fuengirola

Tried this recently opened Plankstek and it had very good food and price to quality ratio. Service was excellent, happy and fast. Talked a lot with the waitress and chef as I happened to be the only customer there, but hopefully not for long until the place is full. Place was clean and I liked the interior.

Took menu of the day with pan de ajo that was great. 3 pieces of bread with cheese and garlic. Could have used a little more garlic, but that might just be me as I like strong flavors. Plankstek Pollo was great. Lots of mashed potatoes in the oven with nice crust and taste was excellent. Chicken was juicy and good flavors in the spices. Veggies under the chicken were great, but if you like very soft ones these aren't for you as they had a little crunch to them and I liked that. A lot of food to eat for one! Curry sauce was great, but the other tomato one wasn't for me as it didn't have a strong flavor. I told them and they said you can change the salsa for another one next time so great service again! For desert I took chocolate ice cream (vanilla or strawberry also to pick from or coffee) that was good.

My friend’s planksteak portion with beef and pork was great and worth five stars. But I’m sorry to say that my pepper steak was a dissapointment with bad guality meat, partly good, but partly so tough, that it was uneatable. Also the potato gratin had been warmed up in the oven for too long and was a bit dry.

Everything was plated very beautifully though, thanks for that, and the portions were big and could well feed even a very hungry person, so I was not left hungry.
