Went here to eat dinner with my boyfriend. Very expensive for the quality of food and service they provide. Literally waited like 15mins for my glass of wine which wouldn’t have come if we didn’t ask again I think the waitress must have forgot about it? Then another 15 mins for our starters which we ordered bread, calamari and fried small fish with fried baby squid. The bread was fresh and was actually good but the calamari was not nice. Not enough seasoning , just all looks. The fish was nice. After that we waited 30/40 minutes for the main which was steak for me and duck for my boyfriend. I asked for medium cooked and it came more rare not close to medium. The duck was fine.
Also We saw a Spanish couple come in and say next to us , they got served everything so much quicker, the workers kept checking up on them asking if everything was okay and basically getting the 4.7star treatment this place SUPPOSEDLY has. In other words , if you’re not Spanish they don’t give a damn. The food took so long I wanted to get up and leave even my hunger went away with how...
Read moreI have recently dined at Restaurante Azura, a delightful Mediterranean restaurant located in the beautiful Gandia. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor is charming, with a mix of traditional and modern elements that create a cozy yet elegant dining experience. The menu offers a wide variety of Mediterranean dishes, each prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. One of the standout features of the restaurant is the balance between quality and price. The portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the food. It’s clear that the restaurant takes pride in offering great value to its customers. The service was also excellent. The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, making great recommendations and ensuring that we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Overall, Azura team is a fantastic choice for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Mediterranean cuisine without breaking the bank. I highly recommend it and look forward to...
Read moreA few colleagues had said that it was ‘take it or leave it’ but being one of the few more modern restaurants on the first row of the beach, we decided to give it a go. The actual setting and location is lovely. The starters we’re lovely- we ordered tempura cod and the homemade bread bad alioli. We had also ordered the goat’s cheese and jam but it never arrived (but it still showed up on the receipt.)
The big disappointment however were the mains. The Angus entrecot was chewable to the point inedible, the chicken skewers dry and lacking in flavour, and the chicken salad too desired more dressing. In fact, it seemed as though the chef had emptied a bag of mixed greens onto a plate and then added a Birdseye chicken fillet. Everything was just so dry and bland.
Service was slow, although I admit it was a Friday night at prime time. The waitress wasn’t exactly attentive nor friendly.
It’s a shame because it has such potential but there are much better places to dine at in the area- el Asombro,...
