Volare — Restaurant in Gandia

If you’re looking for good quality pizza this is not the place. Apologies, but this was probably one of the worst pizzas I ever had. I ordered a pepperoni pizza and it was filled with like 4 types of cheese. I’m a foodie and I can eat a lot but I was destroyed after 3 pieces. The pizza was very fat and you must have a super resistant stomach if you complete the whole pizza.

To be fair the service was great and concerned why we didn’t finish our pizzas and tried to offer us something in exchange. Maybe the other meals are better? This we don’t know.

What an amazing restaurant, we turned up with our dog not realizing that they have a special dog section, with a dog menu (by de tapas con mi perro) this was such a lovely surprise, normally we’d have to sit outside in the cold having a dog. Then it gets better, they have a separate vegan and gluten free menu, with so many options!! There was so much atmosphere as well, we were expecting Gandía to be a bit dead at this time of year, but the restaurant was full. We come to Gandia regularly and we only just discovered this gem! The staff, are all fantastic, in particular Balia and Christian (we hope we got the names right!), they're all so friendly and attentive, and on top of that the gluten free menu is incredible. Full gluten free pizza menu, gluten free starters, pasta, desserts, and more! We had gluten free ham and blue cheese croquettes, chicken and pineapple pizza, cheesecake, and tiramisu and it was all so delicious.
