Gran Masala — Restaurant in Gijón

This was by far the best food I have eaten in Spain. We got the butter chicken, which was delicious, the veg pakora, which was perfectly crispy, the bangan bartha, which was excellent and perfectly spicy, and garlic naan to soak up the delicious sauces. I have never had such amazing flavors marry together in such a perfect way.

The service was incredible. Everyone was so nice. The atmosphere is beautiful and you can people-watch out the window. There is a lot of greenery and it is a comfortable environment. The prices are also not too high.

We finished our meal with a mango ice cream, which was tasty and rich and deep. I enjoyed every second of the meal.

If I could give a place 10 stars, or even 100, I would give it to...

The food was great but unfortunately the service was terrible. There were mistakes in the order and later in the bill. We had to send the bill back twice to remove extra items.

The funniest part was the sauces. After the starter, they took away the sauces and I asked for them again with the main dish. They brought them back but charged 2.5 euros for the sauces without mentioning that they'd be extra... Sauces can be extra (although I find it weird in an Indian restaurant) but at least they should mention it.

On top of all the mistakes and miscommunication the waiter was annoyed and eye-rolling:) If they start home delivery I'd order from them but I don't think I'll ever go to the...

Nice food... could be hotter like proper curry's. It's based as the Spanish don't eat spicy food.they need to aim for the market place. Red sauce is chicken titans masala not spicy. Brown sauce is lamb madras asked medium spicy but should have asked for the spicy option. Garlic naan bread in basket. Pilou rice in bowl. Wine was very to much my taste. Decorations very nice but it was just to hot no air conditioning had small fans to share. More fans or put in air...
