Hierbas dulces natural Gourmet — Restaurant in Gijón

Memories of Hierbas Dulces stick deliciously in my mind. It instantly became a favorite place to dine (and hang out) in Gijón. The gray of the day simply evaporates as you walk in. Mediterranean-style decor and the warmth of the proprietors calm the nerves, and relax you. Daily offerings are all displayed on a chalkboard while fresh and succulent-looking baked goods line the counter, tugging at your attention. (You make a mental note to save room for a postre!) All plates are freshly prepared, in the moment.. A to-die-for creamy hummus arrives with salty chips, awakening and delighting the taste buds. This accompanied my bebida, a colorful infusione de flor de Jamaica. (So delicious was the hummus that I had to wipe clean the bowl with my finger!) My burrito, a savory and magical package of flavors, arrives wrapped in a chapati tied with a jute string! The freshest of spring flowers, so fresh they may have just fallen from the sky, garnish the plate! Like a kid in a field, I plucked them one by one, popping each into my mouth with a smile. ))) Finally came the postre, a limone and banana torte. Sinfully delicious (without the sin!) OK. Fantastic family business with a wide variety of vegan dishes to choose from! The owners are amicable and did an excellent job recommending dishes according to our taste. We went for the burrito, burger and curry bowl and all three were delicious! The presentation was delightful and the meal absolutely delightful. We tried all day's desserts, which were so yummy, clearly homemade and flavorful. Friendly atmosphere with plenty of seating area and impeccable service. Heavenly food. Honestly blown away by the flavours and presentation. We went out for a little date night and it felt so magical, there was a man playing the harp - such a fantastic surprise. The food was delicious, one of the best vegan restaurants we’ve been to. I had the curry and my partner had the Moroccan bowl. Along with some pakoras. It all tasted fantastic, we just felt like maybe the sizes where a little small considering the price. But all in all we love and would defiantly come back. Good vibes and lovely...
