Offering cheap menu does not mean that you can give awful service. I have to say that we are regular customers. We always go to different Konig franchise. But so far the Konig on Carrer del migdia is the worst. Every time you decide to go there, it's like buying a lottery-- You know? it's like if this time our visit will be great or at least ok. I have to say that 80% of our visits we always get treated like lets say in points, I can say the range between 2-6 depending on your luck of the day. About food, it's great! Reasonable price, good food, quick bite. On the other hand, the service is just real bad. I emphasise THE ONE ON MIGDIA , THE SERVICE IS LIKE HELL. In general, it's annoying-- when they collect plates, they make it soo loud, dropping spoons or whatever that can make noise (every time we go, we must see someone drops something, always). Waiters they kinda run rather than walk. Almost throw plates in front of you and they don't even care who's ordered what. They just put on the table and let the people at that table sort it out who that plate belongs to.
Our bad experiences with Konig Migdia were 1. always had to ask for a change of cutlery, glasses because they were dirty. 2. forgot to order our food, after waiting for more than half an hour, so we asked about it. The lady just said ok and went to the screen to put the order through without saying sorry I forgot to order, or if we still wanted it so we ended up waiting for another 15 minutes for the food and the most important part is that SHE DID NOT SAY SORRY FOR THE MISTAKE. 3. They charged the bills wrong. etc.,.... All these situations, we never got to hear the magic word 'SORRY' out of their mouths. Readers may have a question why keep going back there if the service is soooo bad. Well, my answer is 'because it's close to our home and from time to time we like to go there to grab 'patates braves' for dinner. Walking 2 minutes from home to the restaurant is kinda ideal for having something fast. We don't want the five-star service. We just want basic service that everyone who works in hospitality should have that in their soul. Well, guess what! this time was the time that we couldn't stand anymore. On 26/08/17, the situation was we ordered food couple of things and a bottle of water to share. the water was served first thing. A waitress poured some water in both glasses. But then one of the glasses was disgusting (like spots and dried stains everywhere). So we asked for a new glass. Another waiter came so we said to him 'as you can see how dirty this glass is, please change.' Again, no magic word 'oh we are sorry!!' No, NEVER!!! So he just grabbed everything-- the two glasses and the bottle of the water from the table leaving us so shocked and surprised how he managed to situation like that. Few minutes later, another waitress came back to give us new glasses and a bottle of water. But seriously?? You had to grab everything and replace everything so that we didn't get that half bottle of water for free? Amazing solution to keep their regular customers satisfied! Anyway, my partner decided to give his feedback to the waiter and the manager this time. the waiter's reason was 'we want to solve problems quickly. We have no time to discuss what went wrong. When you say the glass is dirty and since the water was poured already so I had to replace everything new. That's it!' WOW! and where is the interaction between customers and the waiters? Especially when things go wrong! It's like whatever. If you don't want to come back, it's fine by us. The funny thing is that after giving the comment, the waiter didn't seem to take it very well. He started banging doors each time he closed cabinets. Every table looked at the behavior but he didn't seem to care. Well, now I got your message. We won't come back anymore....

The side salad which arrived first was lovely and therefore we felt confident that the lasgagnes we'd ordered would be equally good. Unfortunately, they were probably the worst we had ever tasted. They had the appearance of the sort of beige and unrecognisable food normally served on an in-flight meal. We couldn't tell the difference between the meat and vegetarian version as both looked equally bad with nothing that resembled either meat or vegetables, but an unappealing paste like filling. They have the best patates braves you can try but definetely the quality has decreased drastically.
