Update: Thank you for the feedback from the owner. Anyone can say that everything is homemade - unfortunately the invitation to proof that is still missing. So if I have to take your word for it I rather go with my experience which tells me that it is not home made.
Looking at the previous reviews we came with high expectations. Looking at the menu should have been the first hint that our expectations won’t be met but let’s start from the beginning. The service was very friendly and had a good attitude so nothing wrong here. We went with two vegetarians who regularly try vegan restaurants so we came with expertise. We ordered the croquetas for starter which were ok but nothing special. They came with a tartar sauce which tasted really good. For mains we had the lasagne, the cordon bleu and the house salad. The salad was boring and didn’t even come with a dressing - so no difference to any non vegan restaurant and therefore disappointing. The lasagne tasted a bit blend and I had the impression that the tomato sauce which was used as a base was an industrial product. Same with the cordon bleu. This was definitely not home made - as advertised by the waiter. You can definitely tell if a breaded product is home made by looking at the breading itself. It was super equal, thin and pressed onto the Saitan. It was also cut in slices (I assume this is done to hide the industrial look). The chips were dry and not hot - almost like they weren’t fresh. The mushroom sauce which came with it was ok but was also lacking flavor. All portions were relatively small. For desert we had a cheesecake which just wasn’t nice. The berry sauce it was glazed with also tasted industrial.
Overall a quite disappointing experience. There is many nice vegan restaurants with creative menus. This one here is simply taking meat dishes and subsidising the meat with a vegan ingredient. There is no creativity, no passion, no love. It’s simply boring and - for a vegan restaurant - below standard. But most disappointing is the fact that some things appear to be not home made but processed products. I am more than happy to be proven wrong in this assumption- invite me and show me how to do the cordon bleau...
Read moreMemorable and awesome place, great for vegan and also non vegans openminded about reinterpretations, who are happy to taste amazing food - I am beginning to really enjoy the variety and creativity of vegan and vegetarian places, often delivering high quality. Here I tasted some standard but superbly made vegs and tofu, the house burger (incredible, non cheese nicer than real cheese, non meat with a nice texture and all together a full package that makes most burgers simply vanish), some spinach croquettes that were also tasty and spaghetti alla bolognese that were actually good although made with soy-'meat'. Last but not least: 3 desserts. The no cheese cheesecake was memorable and every time I tasted some I was surprised (sauce and texture, way better than standard cheesecake!), the arroz con leche with other 'milk' was the best I had. Also the tiramisu was amazing. Different, thicker, but nicer and no raw eggs nor mascarpone fat. Wasn't planning on finishing either but tastiness won. Service was perfect, from the phonecall to the assistance in selecting and advising.
2020 still remembering this marvelous place with gratefulness and dreaming of a private jet or... A lovely trip when lockdown...
Read moreThis is without doubt the best vegan restaurant that I have ever been to! I must say, I stayed one week in Granada and I came here at least once every day, even twice! It has such a huge variety of vegan meals. I have tried almost all of them and they are extremely delicious! It leaves you speechless. Even just after finishing a meal, I was already thinking of the next one that I could try from them.
I really adored the design of the restaurant with the walls painted beautifully. It's so cozy and the staff is so friendly, they deserve all the tips one could give. The prices are great, around 10 euros per meal and they also have very good specialties every day that are not necessarily on the menu, so you must try that too. For around 18 euros, you get 2 dishes and dessert.
Honestly, I cannot wait to come back to Granada to taste...
