Food is really good here. I had the Octopus which is grilled to chard with crispy edges then smothered in some kind of melted white cheese. And the side pickled tomatoe wedges are to die for. Not anything I’ve ever had in N.America. The baby potatoes come with three dipping sauce. Each of them has rich & distinct flavour. Unlike any of the dipping sauce back home. They are tangy with multiple layers of spices. I think it’s the Moroccan influence here. The next table order some kind of meat and they flambé it when they serve to your table, smells just wonderful!! Severs are friendly and speak English, they also have menu in good English. Remember they way they service here is different from US or Canada. So don’t be discouraged if they don’t run to your table as soon as you sit down. It’s just a different system here. Some tourist stomped off because they didn’t get any attention with 5 mins. Just be smile and make eye contact, they will come to you. Be polite as a customer, and it take...
Read moreThese guys know how to run their business! Open pretty much non-stop, always busy but they always manage to find a place for you mid week (reservations possible, but not on weekends). All staff speak English (Dutch owner insists on this plus, unusually, training!) Popular with foreigners because they don't stop serving food in the afternoon. QR menu is frustratingly bad but so many of them are and they're normally 3rd party software so no direct criticism. As regulars we have noticed the 'cost of living' crises appearing in both portion sizes and ingredients diminishing somewhat, however if you don't know it wouldn't affect your enjoyment here. Current staff t shirt is clearly someone trying to imitate a marketing tactic they've seen but it's a fail and just leaves you wondering 'why?' Alongside all that; it's still one of the most consistent (owner's influence!) and enjoyable...
Read moreCame here on our first night in Granada ready for our first Sangria. Waited 20 minutes before our drinks arrived, tasted them and realised they were the wrong drinks. This didn’t become a problem though until the waiter took them away, only to take them straight across to another table who’s drinks they actually were, without changing the glass or straw…. Then when our drinks finally did arrive, the “red Sangria” was almost transparent because there was such little wine etc. in it. The aperol spritz we ordered was purely aperol and water. Myself and my sister (who I was with) are both bartenders, so when the waiter laughed at us telling us how wrong we were when we complained, we were not at all impressed. We paid the bill without touching the drinks. Would never come back here and definitely...
