My partner and I ate at "The View" today. We had to wait 10 minutes for our table because it was still occupied. Then we were unfortunately not seated, but after a while we just sat down at the table that had been promised to us beforehand. We only had to wait a few minutes for the menu but unfortunately the table was only cleaned after we asked. We waited almost 20 minutes for our drinks order and a total of 90 minutes for our food, but there was a live band which made the wait for the food a little more pleasant. The restaurant owner didn't even pay attention to us when we tried to speak to her and was often in a bad mood. The waitress who also served us was very friendly but unfortunately she couldn't do much for us other than apologize for the chaos. The service was tried hard from start to finish but unfortunately completely overwhelmed. The kitchen bell was mostly ignored or not heard, which I found very unfortunate because there were about 20 guests waiting for their food and they expressed this with annoyed looks. Unfortunately, when my partner's food arrived it was cold, the KFC chicken pieces were lukewarm, my prawns were tasty and warm, the fries were hot but unfortunately not as many as other guests'. When the bill came, we were brought a honey rum, which we thought was very nice. But we will most likely never visit this...
Read moreI visited The View 3 Times. The first occasion was a busy Sunday, chef was on their own and I waited almost an hour, for a salad. However, when it arrived it was worth the wait. Presented and dressed well, good selection of veg. I saw the baked cheesecake served to another customer and had to try it. Perfect end to any meal, not too sweet or creamy, a hint of citrus and perfectly cooked, oozy in the middle, firmer on the edges; utterly delicious.
Paella is only served on a Sunday (which I discovered on my second visit and attempted to order it). So I ordered the burrata salad and cheesecake again, it was just as delicious as before.
The specials, salads and drinks are all very good so do order off menu if you get the chance. Staff are friendly, service prompt and a great view. I would highly recommend and return...

Service is stressed. The bar is full of glasses. Music from a single Bluetooth speaker is way too loud. Just buy a few Sonos speakers and place them in different spots so people can have a normal conversation.
Then the food:
Lukewarm croquettes Undercooked salmon, the accompanying salad drenched in oil, and then charging €18 for a small portion of salmon (we actually wanted meat, but it was sold out).
Burrata salad with even more oil and balsamic. We’d like to taste the burrata, not just the vinegar…
A small bread roll for the mojo, €1.50 per piece, baked from a supermarket pack.
Probably fine for a daytime cocktail with a view, but don’t go...
