Stayed here for 5 nights and recently returned home yesterday. Stayed here as a family of 8 but shared a room with my partner and 3 year old daughter. Upon arrival check in was really easy, receptionist was really friendly and informative and the hotel had food out for our arrival even though it was late at night which was really considerate. The resort itself is really big so you should be prepared for lots of walking and climbing stairs (lifts available too) although there wasn’t a lift to our room so we had to keep collapsing our prams and struggled at times to carry things up. I will list some issues below that we picked up on and should be highlighted. 1. The bed is 2 singles pushed together and they have wheels, not ideal for a toddler who co sleeps as you’re so worried about the gap in the middle and it is unsafe. 2. ALLERGENS! My partner is anaphylactic towards nuts and also has an intolerance towards eggs, so therefore it is crucial that he consumes the correct foods. There was a sign at breakfast saying to speak to a member of staff if you have an allergen so we did exactly this, they did not seem to know what we was talking about, the manager of the restaurant came out and took us over to the gluten free area, I think she thought this is what we meant. We tried to explain that it was nuts and she then again pointed to all the gluten free foods. What I can’t understand is the gluten free area is completely contained and you’re not allowed to touch any of the foods in the cabinet incase of ‘cross contamination’ but there is absolutely nothing for people who suffer with a nut allergy which is life threatening!! And unfortunately almost everything even the porridge contained nuts!! My partner was very nervous and he really had to stick to the basics just to get through the day which is a real shame. 3. Breakfast was very standard, not much variety with the cooked breakfast, would’ve liked to of seen cooked tomatoes or cooked mushrooms but was just the same everyday. The sausages were always hard I could barely cut them up and the scrambled eggs had a bad texture. 4. Be warned if you want to use the iron you will be charged, even if you only use it for 5 minutes. This is ridiculous. 5. You have to put deposit down for pool towels and you can only change them once. 6. No adults are allowed on the pool slide, which is a real shame because our 3 year old didn’t want to ride on her own without me or her dad. This is a silly rule. Same as the ‘quiet pool’ which you’re not allowed to take your inflatables on even though they make no noise at all but kids and adults are allowed to run and dive in, it makes no sense. Our little girl was very upset. 7. Entertainment is ok, fun fair is chaotic no sense of direction from anyone so people are everywhere we had to leave. Mini disco goes on late and landi took forever to come out, my child got bored. 8. Be aware the mini supermarket charged us 3 euros just for air to blow up our boat. We laughed because we thought the lady in there was joking. - she wasn’t. Overall lovely hotel but lots of little issues and seems there’s always want for extra money when it’s meant to be all inclusive. I did however find it very very clean, the hotel always smelt very pleasant coming down in the morning and could always see staff out cleaning. Cleaners do a fantastic job of the room I have no doubt about that. I would probably stay again but wish they would fix these little issues.

Summary: We had to experience a summary of all the deficiencies mentioned by other guests already -> feels like the hotel is only concerned about money. - Already booked and prepaid services were not provided by the hotel! - 2 single beds with wheels and different heights instead of the booked double bed - Extremely unfriendly / rude staff & management, especially Customer Service (Patricia) - Food poisoning and cockroaches everywhere - Reception staff partially do not understand English - Extremely environmentally damaging mentality -> single-use dishes (even the cups), lights on every balcony stay on late into the night (cannot be manually turned off) - Poor internet - During storms and flying umbrellas (resulting in personal injuries), the staff does not feel responsible to help (limited staff -> cost-cutting measures?) - Advertised shuttle service cannot be booked -> staff references to regular taxis Precise description of a special situation: Upon checking into the hotel, we wanted to make a reservation in one of the restaurants for the "à la carte dinner" included in our booking (which we could select as a thank you for booking through the hotel's website from various options -> these thank you options were removed from the website shortly after our discussion). The reception staff wanted to explain to us that we were not entitled to this service (clearly included in our booking) because we had a Bed & Breakfast booking and not an All-Inclusive booking (this dependency was not stated on the hotel's website, and we had provided all the booking details on the booking page). After a lengthy discussion, a staff member checked the hotel's internal booking system, confirmed our entitlement, and provided us with a confirmation upon request. On the day of the à la carte dinner, we were told that we had to pay because we had already had the à la carte dinner at the pool bar at lunchtime (no à la carte "dinner" is offered at lunchtime). We had lunch-buffet on the day of arrival and paid for it directly. Despite presenting the payment receipt and the hotel acknowledging the mistake, we were still required to pay a significant amount of the dinner bill (drinks: 1 beer, 1 glass of wine, and the full price of €19, not just the €10 surcharge as described on the menu and assumed by us) for a meal that was €5 more expensive than the standard dishes. Since we couldn't quite understand how this arbitrary bill had come about, we requested to speak to the responsible person. Shortly thereafter, a Customer Service representative (Patricia) rushed in and informed us that we were not entitled to the surcharge payment and had to pay the full price (despite the included à la carte dinner in the booking) since we were not All-Inclusive guests. She even threatened to call the police (which was probably never called or at least did not arrive at the restaurant). The hotel manager also provided us with this extremely arbitrary explanation the next day and was extremely unfriendly. I'm sure any other (solvent) hotel that had made a "booking mistake" would have acknowledged this "mistake" and at the very least fully covered the dinner included in the booking to the guests' satisfaction. Due to the extremely unfriendly management/staff and concerns that I might not receive the paid services, I would strongly advise against booking at this hotel.

Great Family Holiday at Landmar Hotel We just came back from a wonderful week at Landmar Hotel. We stayed in a Landi Village room with all-inclusive, which was perfect for us and our 2.5-year-old son. It was our first time in a big all-inclusive hotel, and we had a great time. The hotel is in a beautiful place, with amazing views of the ocean and La Gomera island. On the plus side: - This hotel is perfect for kids and parents. There’s always something fun to do: baby and kids’ clubs, animations and music at the pool, a mini disco, broadway shows, live music, and more. - The Landi Village room was very nice. It had a big bed for us and a sofa bed for our son, so we each had our own room. They also gave us a few toys, like a small tent and a whiteboard. Our son didn't use it, but it was a nice touch. - The food is good with a lot of variety between salads, hot dishes, cheeses, desserts. Since we had the Landi Village package, we could sit in a special area of the restaurant, including some tables outside with a great view. The private buffet for Landi guests wasn’t anything special, though—just some crêpes in the morning, wine, and a few sweets. - The pools were warm and clean. We liked that one pool had music and games, while the other one was more quiet (they don't allow inflatable toys in this one) - There’s a nice playground, a Splash Park, and a mini-golf course on the lower level. The rope course was still not open/fixed when we left. Our son enjoyed these areas a lot. - We had some time to relax at the spa while our son was in the baby club. The spa was really nice, with a sauna, hammam, jacuzzi, and more. - It's a family hotel, mostly quiet during the night as they stop serving alcohol after midnight at the bar and the live music stops at 11pm. - The hotel is super clean. Pools are cleaned every night, and the rooms and common areas were always tidy. Some improvements: - Most drinks were too sweet. The coffee had sugar or sweeteners in it (and no settings to change it), and the fruit juices were clearly from syrup (you can see the mix when the machine does it). It would be great to have real orange or apple juice instead. - The Landi room could look more fun for kids. It’s just a regular room with two small toys. Some colorful decorations or fun furniture would help. - There aren’t many pool games for small kids. The big slide is only for taller children (from 1.10meter), and the only small slide is in the Splash Park (with no pool, just water jets). It would be nice to have more water play options for little ones, like a toboggan. This is a great hotel for families with kids. We had a relaxing and fun holiday, and our son had a great time. If you're a couple without kids, this may not be the best place for yo (maybe the other Landmar hotel is a better fit. A big thanks to Jenny from the baby club, who took great care of our son! We’re happy we chose this hotel and would definitely come back!

It was all just OK. ||So, after reading the reviews for this hotel we booked a two week stay in the Landi Village at the end of October. I feel like the many rave reviews perhaps gave us increased expectations, and these were not met. ||So lets start with the positives:|The Landi Village room was a great size for a family of 3 and its nice to have a separate area to sit whilst your little one sleeps. |Our 3 year old adored Landi and going to the discos.|She also really enjoyed the funfair night. |The pools were nice and big and we could arrive even in the afternoon and still find beds somewhere even if not right next to the pool. |The arcade was fun but quickly worked out pretty expensive if you stayed there for any length of time. |The small soft play is a nice touch with again our little one really enjoyed.|We really enjoyed the sea views. |The ala carte restaurants were nice and worth booking. |The room cleaning staff did an excellent job every day. |We raised two issues with the room on the app which were sorted promptly. |The animation team always looked to be working tirelessly and there was always activities happening. ||The not so good, but not great:|The food! All the food was edible and managed to find something to eat each night but it was extremely repetitive. The nights are themed but some foods somehow seem to be the same across regions / themes. For a 2 week stay we were a little bored of the offerings. This was the same for the quiet pool snack bar. The food here was good but NEVER changed in the whole holiday. ||Now for the negatives:|First impression when we walked in to our room was not good. The room felt very dated. We did not expect luxury boutique for a 4 star hotel but when compared to a similar offering we stayed at in Portugal last year this room definitely lacked modernisation. We did walk past some other rooms which looked to have been updated and looked more modern so maybe this is luck of the draw on which you get but was certainly not what we expected for the price as the room was comparable to a much lower rated hotel. |On our arrival the sofa and bed had decorative cushions on that had been placed with no covers on at all. This did get rectified but left a bad first impression. |The sofa was very stained and dirty and the padding on the arms was failing. This needed replacement or at least a deep clean and minor repair. |Speaking of first impressions, on our arrival date we could not believe the mess in the communal areas. We are not sure what had happened the nights or days leading up to this as the cleanliness everywhere did improve over our stay. But again that initial dread we felt when we saw it after travelling was not a good feeling. We did attempt to find alternative accommodation at a few other hotels when we saw this but they were fully booked. So we were happy at least to see some improvements over our stay (or we just became immune to it). The plants had been used as ash trays and ribbush bins, one of the big windows in the foyer was broken with just a sign over it saying don't touch or lean on it, many areas with broken tiles and lights that needed some TLC, and the self return cup stands dotted around that seemed to be almost constantly full with cups and had become rusty and looked filthy like they never got cleaned. It all just gave the impression of no one cares. |Disappointing to see the proper snack bar by the activity pool was closed and that this building now just sat without purpose. This was replaced by a small unattended snack van. The food offerings from here like the burgers and fries were always cold and dried out completely by the warming surface. The stand itself was always filthy too where people had squirted sauces all over the counter and nobody was there to clean it up. Even when we saw staff in the vicinity who had seen the mess, it was still not cleaned. |Same for the show cooking buffet restaurant. This remained completely closed for the duration of our stay and was another wasted and not utilised space. Its not like the hotel was quiet either as it was half term. |There was not enough staff in the main buffet restaurant. The people there worked tirelessly but they could not keep up with the work load. Plates were piling up, you often arrived to most of the tables still being dirty from previous diners. On one sitting my partner and I observed a full slice of pizza on the floor in a main thoroughfare that everyone just walked around so we decided to pick it up. |Another issue probably more related to other guests but is something that could also be managed by the staff, if they had enough of them, was the children in the buffet restaurants. I am all for supporting independence in children and allowing them to learn how to serve themselves but this was at the detriment to other guests. They just left a mess everywhere being allowed to run around with no supervision dropping food all over (like the aforementioned pizza) and no one monitoring them and asking them to clean up after themselves. Yes, they are children but if they cannot be trusted to serve themselves cleanly and sensibly then they should be supervised. |Same for the pool areas sadly. Due to the self serve and self tidy nature of the drinks there were often cups of half drunk drinks all over where people didn't tidy after themselves and reduced staff to manage this issue. |Just some annoyances when compared with other all inclusive resorts of the "same" rating like the additional costs experienced for things such as the popcorn and drinks outside of a very limited cocktail menu. We knew about the cocktails before we arrived from the reviews but when compared to other packages we have had this one felt a little more restrictive. |Despite our little ones love of the soft play this needed some TLC too as some areas were ripped and damaged so at one point her leg fell through a section which caused a few tears which she quickly got over. One of the benches for adults to wait was also broken here and in need of repair. |The splash park is inexplicably far away from the pools and we didn't utilise this due to looking like areas of the floor were damaged and holes in. ||Overall:|Despite the negatives we had a pleasant time but this did not meet our expectations we got from all the great reviews we read. We feel like this was perhaps historically a really great product but felt very much like corners were being cut, and savings being made, to see how far they can dial back the offering before people start realising and...

This hotel beats my expectations completely! I highly recommend! From pulling up outside on the coach one word - stunning! ||We were greeted by a lovely lady unfortunately didn’t get her name, we stayed at the family resort part (Landi village) the lady was so informative and so friendly even with my little one who was so tired from travelling! We were provided with a discount for the toy shop and a little passport game for our little one! The only thing I was unsure of from the conversation was the LA carte restaurants - I wasn’t sure if she meant we could use the LA carte as part of our all inclusive 3 times without an additional fee or whether it was charged at all times so therefore we didn’t use - would be good to clarify and make it a little clearer as I still didn’t get my answer but couldn’t fault this lady she’s a credit to your team! ||We got provided a little buggy with our cases and taken right up to our room - it was a little apartment - incredible! Little man had his own big boy bed and there was a chalk board / sweets / biscuits / fizzy drinks and a little tent as well as a coffee machine and pods / kettle / TV / sofa. ||Bed in our room was huge and very spacious and all very clean! The bathroom was great, only disadvantage was the bath was a tight squeeze and I’m fairly small in size! ||Lovely view from the balcony! And luckily when the sun hit in the afternoon we got great sun on the balcony to sit out whilst little man slept! ||There is a little snack bar with burgers / salad / chips / hot dogs - chips were mostly always cold but again amazing! ||We found out few days prior to leaving there was a bigger snack bar restaurant on the other side and it was incredible! So much variety.||Now the bars! Incredible - self pour beer tho it was really difficult to use if I’m honest but again fab! Fizzy drinks can be poured yourself! Staff so friendly and helpful. ||The pools amazing! Variety of choice! My child loved the little pool with a sprinkler! Very cold but on a hot day incredible! Bigger pool was a lot warmer! ||Buffet restaurant again was good! I loved the curry night they did was one of my favourite evenings! Other than that me being a fussy eater I stuck to the same sorta things each evening but I did try but wasn’t a huge fan but again I’m a fussy eater - more of a burgers type lady! ||Now for the best bit - children’s entertainment in the evening - amazing!! And the best parts is 1) there is a bar for adults in the entertainment room meaning you can enjoy a nice drink whilst your child plays’ obviously under supervision but amazing! ||2) the mascot Landi - what a bribe this has been throughout my holiday - my child loved Landi and if he was miss behaving it was a well you don’t get to see Landi so therefore he did behave throughout as he loved Landi so much! We surprised him with the toy Landi purchased at the reception as the shop is shut on Monday & Tuesdays and we gave this at the airport so he could remember this holiday and have Landi with him. ||There was a fair evening for one of the children’s entertainment evenings and it was fab! Would’ve been even better if there were seats for people to sit but again due to space it wasn’t possible which I can understand. ||Re our room - our bed sheets weren’t changed for 2 days and the day before we left our bed sheets became unravelled so we put the sheets on top of the bed but it wasn’t changed and we were left with just the quilt / our pods also weren’t changed for coffee and we were up early so we were very tired! ||The bed was sooooo comfy however be careful as it moves as it’s on wheels if you fidget too much haha!||I don’t usually say this for a holiday as I like to go to different places but I would 💯 come back to this resort.||Amazing staff / amazing people and such an amazing holiday. We are so sad to be home. And we also wished we had done 10 nights not 7 but it was a first holiday with a 2 year old so we weren’t sure how it would plan out but it was amazing and he enjoyed himself so much!||I would also recommend booking the zoo it’s about an hour and a half from the resort via coach which can be purchased near the reception area where reps are as it was unreal and voted one of the best zoos in the world. ||We also ventured down to the beach which was about a 10 minute walk which has Little Rock pools and black sand! Again lots of little restaurants / shops down there! ||The resort also as I forgot to mention room has a little soft play and little splash park which again is great! ||Thank you...

Overall we had a good holiday at this hotel, there were however good points and bad points.||Good|The food was very good quality for an all inclusive hotel. There was always plenty of selection with different themes each night. Through the day there is a snack stall beside the noisy pool which has burgers, hotdogs, chips, salads and biscuits all day. There's a mini buffet beside the quiet pool that changes each day and there's lunch in the main canteen if you want to dry off but the snack bar and outdoor buffet mean it's very handy when having a pool day to keep the kids fed. ||There are two pools, one where kids can have their large inflatables, they play music through speakers and do activities etc and one that is quieter so there's a choice of vibe. ||There are plenty of sunbeds. We went in early July and never had a problem getting a decent sunbed. We aren't people who ever go early to put towels down and still got decent beds each time we were at the pool. On busier days you just go a bit further, we didn't care. ||We didn't use kids club as it's just not for us but every time we seen the kids club entertaining and caring for the children around the hotel they looked to be having a blast and staff were always so lovely to them.||Our youngest loved the splash park and soft play. Oldest loved the arcade. ||The views are beautiful from this hotel. Lot of lovely photos of sunset etc.||The walk to the shops is pretty easy. We got a taxi back each time as the hill is pretty steep and it was less than €4.||Overall the staff were very friendly especially the cleaning staff. My daughter one morning left her tiny hand sized teddy in her sheets which accidentally went to the laundry. After asking the cleaning staff they went above and beyond to search the laundry for this and return it to her waiting as a surprise on her pillow. Can't thank them enough. ||Bad|The check in we received really made us panic about our choice of hotel. We arrived late at night and we were told our room by the lady setting down a sheet and circling a large building on a map. When we tried to understand how to get to this building and where we are now, the lady said in English "hurry there's another coming" and we were left to it. We were left to wonder in the dark after the entertainment had finished so was pretty bleak to find our building. Pushing suitcases and small children around outside around the pools and buildings only to find our building wasn't even the one circled. In the end we found our room after about 30 minutes of wondering and just checking the different lifts outside for the one containing our room selection. |I don't however believe this is a common experience as the people who checked in beside us and who we then seen were in the room under us, got driven with their bags to their room because as they said it was so far to navigate in the dark. Perhaps we just looked capable. |After leaving our suitcases we then went back to reception because to top it off when we arrived in our suite, the kids lights didn't work in their room so we couldn't see what was where. Reception sent maintenance to this straight away and we took the opportunity to ask if there were vending machines etc to find food as our kids were hungry after travelling. We were blessed with the same lady who checked us in who simply replied "look around the corner get cold dinner". Again I get people can be tired or busy but there was no attempt to help us having just arrived with no knowledge of the hotel and how big it was. Which corner?!? Which floor?! Which building?!. ||The high ropes were closed the entire time we were there. This was a main reason we chose the hotel as the kids love this activity. I don't actually blame the hotel for this as safety comes first however I believe the travel companies should prewarn guests of this and stop advertising it as it's been months since it was fit for use. Because the high ropes are closed half the mini golf is also closed as its run below the ropes.||There's very limited seats at nighttime for outside entertainment. I still don't understand how early in the day people must have got there to try and get a seat.||The hotel was a bit run down in areas. For example when we tried unplugging things the whole plug socket comes out. The bathroom handle fell off regularly, the travel cot was ripped, lights only worked in certain sockets.||Overall we did have a good week and I feel the issues we had would be...
