Review June 2022:
As a vegan and Health Coach, I’m always on the hunt for healthy, raw, unprocessed food. Over the past 10 years of coming to the island, retro gusto has become one of my favorite places to eat. Their breakfasts bowl (power bowl, açaí, dragon fruit) are all simply amazing, the fresh juices are delicious and the cafe con leche, is out of this world. And that’s only the breakfast. Lunch and dinner is equally delicious. I love their salads and polenta fries. The staff is super friendly and their smiles are infectious and service is perfect. I’ve tried many places in Ibiza but this one is simply the best one to go to! Atmosphere is great. There is always music (sometimes a bit loud) and you feel at home there. You must try it out when you...
Read moreI am giving them 2 stars just because my husband's food was good(crispy bacon). I ordered scramble eggs, and I specifically said that I am not allowed to eat pepper or spicy because I am allergic. I told them in english and spanish as well. They assured me that they would put the pepper on the side, which didn't happen. It was sprinckled all over the food. I nicely asked if I could have another plate without pepper, and they changed it. The second time they brought me another plate, but with the same eggs, bacon and avocado. The only think that they did was to change the bread and tried to take the black pepper on top of the food and turn it upside-down so that I won't notice is the same. The eggs were cold, the bacon as well. I didn't notice until I tasted it and took a bite with black pepper on it andstart coughing I asked them again to change it and they only did another scramble eggs and changed the avocado ( with an overdue one), the rest wewre the same ( cold and with peper sprinkled on top). When I said that I refused to eat that and only pay for what could've been eaten, they were being rude. Unfriendly and...
Read moreWe came to Retró Gusto twice for breakfast during our stay in Ibiza. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The entire place is decorated beautifully, giving cozy, chic, beachy vibes. The staff were all kind and attentive. The British sandwich consistently had the perfectly fried egg. We got this sandwich twice and both times, the egg was cooked enough to have the yolk be slightly undercooked but not enough to make the bread soggy. It’s honestly the best egg I’ve ever had on a sandwich. The pancakes with yogurt cream was phenomenal. The fruits were so fresh and It was beautifully presented as well. We also ordered the açaí bowl which of course included fresh fruits. I tried their pink rose latte, which not only looks beautiful but tastes lovely too. It comes with a shot of espresso so you can pour it in after you take your photo without the color changing. Very thoughtful. Their cappuccino was also delicious and a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice is a must! We loved this spot so much. Missing you...
