How can I do justice in the surprising experience we had on our 1st day in Jerez? Let me try by starting firstly with the warmth of the waiter who greeted us on entry.

We landed in Jerez from Munich. Destination Novo Santi Petri. With the early morning start, we were hungry by the time we landed, collected our bags, and picked up our rented car. At 14:00, Google in hand I began a search for a restaurant with good recommendations and open. I found Tuga. Easy to find.. Google Maps took us there.We entered all four of us. The parents in tow. It is not the mainstream tourist Spanish restaurant, but a locally sourced menu made with pure PASSION.

We had our own consultation with Chef Juami! The recommendations were ALL excellent..So trust him..I have to say we were a bit hesitant, but happy we did in the end. The salmon, the anchovies with roasted garlic, and for a non-lover of mushrooms, the mushroom risotto was a highlight for all 4 of us. I was a total convert at the end. Outstanding!!!

WE WILL RETURN. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

He visitado este lugar en dos ocasiones, y he de decir que, en ambas, la experiencia ha sido totalmente satisfactoria. En primer lugar, el trato por parte de todos es excepcional; no te falta absolutamente ni un detalle pero sin necesidad de agobiarte con una atención excesivamente atenta como en otros sitios, no sé si me explico. Es decir, el ambiente es totalmente agradable. Por otro lado, en cuanto a la comida se refiere, está exquisita. De hecho, a varios de los comensales que me acompañaban no les agradaba la carrillada, y, sin embargo, por recomendación de Adrián, pedimos el canelón de carrillada. Ni se notó la textura gelatinosa de la carrillada que es lo que nos desagrada. Y qué decir de la salsa que lo acompañaba...¡Buenísima! Lo mismo se aplica al resto de platos que degustamos, ni una queja. Por su parte, mi madre quedó sorprendida con un vino que le recomendó Adrián (el sumiller del lugar) para acompañar el postre. He de decir que ella no es muy amante de los vinos, pero ese que probó la dejó sorprendida. Nunca lo había probado y le encantó. Nos ha gustado tanto el lugar que pensamos volver y recomendarlo. Y por último, y no menos importante: la limpieza. Estaba todo impoluto, detalle al que, en mi familia, en especial, le damos muchísima importancia. De hecho, mi hermana se levantó para ir al baño y al volver nos lo estuvo comentando, que no había visto un baño tan limpio y ordenado desde hacía muchísimo tiempo. En resumen, recomendar este lugar y a los profesionales que trabajan en él. Hemos tenido una experiencia muy grata. P.D.: Si sois aficionados al mundo del vino, tenéis aún más razones para visitarlo pues su sumiller, Adrián, hace unos maridajes con vinos fuera de lo común, es decir, para nada comerciales y totalmente diferentes a la mayoría que ofrecen los demás restaurantes. We enjoyed a delightful evening at Tuga.

This small and charming restaurant came highly recommended, and our only regret is not having visited sooner. We savored the boquerones, croquetas, risotto, and octopus, all of which were excellent. For dessert, we shared the chocolate truffles with ice cream, and the only mistake was sharing—these truffles were absolutely delectable.

However, what truly stood out was the outstanding service. The chef visited our table on multiple occasions, enhancing the overall experience.
