Restaurante Kampai Sushi — Restaurant in Jerez

Weirdly when we just sat, the waitress poured soy sauce on the saucers we didnt order yet. We ordered: • tempura de langostinos (not original tempura, disappointed, this or the sumai did not sit well with me), • sumai(no flavor, simply a meatball in a wrap and steamed, no seasoning) , • katsu bowl (swam with cocktail -mayo and ketchup - literally which was unappetising) • gyudon is not even close authentic, it’s a beef teriyaki in a bowl and the most expensive with too long waiting time and little meat, small portion)

Ambiance was great and name which gave me high expectations, but pure disappointment.

Lastly, they gave us an old menu and when we got the bill, prices were higher. The waitress didn’t bother to inform us that they gave us the old prices and just handed us the bill hoping we wouldn’t notice. It’s a joke!

I dont recommend this to place anyone. The food that we ordered were no where, not even the sligthest authentic.

Thank you for the great service and super good food! All the ingredients they use are super fresh and delicious. Wine is tasty as well. We like the trendy while cozy interior design. A couple things can be improved as:

1. the fried seaweed under the avocado tuna tartar should be fresh made otherwise it’s just oily and soft…

The place looks lovely inside, but I might’ve had bad timing. I arrived right at the opening, and the staff seemed more focused on setting up than welcoming the first guest. I ordered sushi that looked great in the photos and visually didn’t disappoint, but unfortunately, the texture and flavor were off.
