Bitácora Restaurant — Restaurant in La Línea de la Concepción

After spending a long day travelling by sea, being tired and up to eat anything we could get our hands on, we came upon this gem of a restaurant. Just off the marina, so extremely handy for a short walk. The staff were super helpful, understanding our broken Spanish and all the English and they could not have been more attentive throughout our whole visit. The menu could be translated easily to English via a qr code and the rest was simple. The food itself came steadily to allow us time to savour and enjoy, all cooked to perfection. Lovely entres of mixed olives and picked veg and a humus with small crackers. Falafel in a genie pot came next, delicious. Then Mexican tacos, just as good. Next was arros caldoso de secreto. Could have eaten this twice over- pork with rice. Finally a delicious de buey (ox beef), rare, just to out liking with lovely accompaniments. A rare find and we will most definitely, if we return to the area, head straight for its welcoming surroundings. If we could give it 100 stars, we would. The best experience in the last 5 weeks of eating out whilst travelling. ...

Lunch here today and it was absolutely delish. I had the pastor tacos and I was real hungry so I asked for a double order so 4 in total. The hubs ordered Langostinos Ala Braso (?) Which was grilled shrimps with a kimchi sauce and guacamole. We both had wanted fries but didn't get any and then our meals were so good we decided to order the potatoes with curry sauce AND we ordered the chocolate torte. The view was so amazing and we were enjoying ourselves so much, we just kept eating. So glad we stopped. Always grateful for super service and when the food is also superb it is a perfect meal. The restaurant looks nice at the sea front, the waitress young lady was charming, the food was nice, the only thing we did not like was the fact that there was no dessert available as per advertised on the menu. We asked the waitress and surprisingly the answer was that they were shut the previous day. Very poor excuse, very easy to just provide fresh fruit, ice cream, yoghurt etc etc. Or perhaps offer the customers a coffee or a liquor. It was our first visit but rather ...
