Camino al Jamonal will charge you for it which is just outrageous! Very bad! 👎🏻

The service wasn’t great either.

I asked the waiter if they have any other food apart from what I see on the menu but I was told that they only serve what I see on the main menu.

That was not true. I saw many other dishes that were not on the menu. When I asked a second waiter, he told me that they have a variety of daily specials. By that time it was too late to order any specials as they finished most of the food. I was not impressed to find out so late.

For the second half of dinner we went to a different restaurant.

Excellent place, we booked dinner during their lunch hours and were not disappointed. As usual have looked rating at google maps and since we were living really close it was a good choice for us. They start serving dinner at 20.00 and the time spot is until 21.30. Have ordered 4 of their special tapas. The food tasted really good. Squid rings in pictures is the half of the portion (managed to eat quite some before I remembered to take picture). Ensalada a la rusa is a salad with fish but tasted really good, meat tasted like heaven. The waiter was nice and very attentive. We had a few small beers and it all resulted in bill around 60...

Il "Camino al Jamonal" è un ristorante carinissimo situato sul lungomare della spiaggia de las Canteras. In primis, vi consiglio di prenotare perché è sempre pieno e non ci si siede "improvvisando". Si procede per turni, potendo scegliere quello delle 20 o 21,30 (la sera, non so come funzioni a pranzo). Quanto alla cena, direi che è stata veramente ottima. Abbiamo iniziato con dei montaditos di jamón 5 jotas, tra i più buoni in assoluto. In seguito, una spettacolare ensaladilla russa caramellizzata (mai provata prima) e crocchette di polpo, suggerite dal personale (buone ma non da fuochi d'artificio). Come portata principale, un riso con verdure e carne suggeritoci tra i "fuori menù": buonissimo, ben cotto e succoso. Per dessert, abbiamo assaggiato due dolci al cucchiaio, uno con mango e cioccolato bianco e l'altro alla Nutella. L'unica "nota stonata", se proprio vogliamo trovare un difetto, è stata la sensazione di "fretta" trasmessa dallo staff. Sono stati tutti carinissimi e gentilissimi dal primo momento, ma durante la scelta dei piatti, soprattutto i dolci, abbiamo avuto la sensazione di dover essere più celeri. Sappiamo che ci sono ritmi da seguire e i ragazzi sono "macchine da guerra", non si fermano un attimo e sono bravissimi, ma si può fare un po' più di attenzione, anche per esempio nella proposta del vino. Abbiamo chiesto che vini rossi ci fossero al calice e ce n'è stato portato uno scelto da loro sebbene il menù avesse varie proposte. Ci sarebbe piaciuto, come nella maggior parte dei locali, scegliere il vino e assaggiarlo. In ogni caso, raccomando al 100% una cena/pranzo qui, perché ne...
