Somos Costeros — Restaurant in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria

The lady who served us spoke English well compared to the young girl who didn't understand the sentence that we wanted the bill. Generally the food was good.

A few small comments in the sense: the menu should say that e.g. the chicken in the Caesar salad is breaded because someone may be allergic like me.

The vegetable soup was tasty and my wife wasn't told that there were croutons and I am gluten allergic (I had to take the croutons out into a glass)

The dish with octopus and chickpeas was very delicious, my husband liked the Caesar salad but we prefer pure chicken, the chicken on a skewer was juicy and not dripping with fat so much, the shrimps were very fatty and dry and had a taste not very sweet like from the freezer.

The potatoes tasted like they were heated in a microwave.

I can recommend this place because there are a lot of other delicious food but what I ordered was also tasty I had indigestion but I think everyone who has a healthy digestive system and does not have allergies and a diet will find something...

Have been in Las Palmas, for about a week, and have stopped here only twice before, for refreshments, after walking to and from Alfredo Kraus Auditorium. Today, as we sat down (outside, overlooking the lovely scenic view of the bay and promenade), the waiter said “Large Beer and a Dry White Wine with a single ice cube”. What a memory but more so what great service. Will definitely be making this our daily watering hole, during the next 3 weeks. Absolutely fantastic. Nuestra peor comida en la Playa de las Canteras

Vivimos muchos años en la Playa de las Canteras y hemos comido en muchos restaurantes. Con tantas buenas críticas, debimos pillar a la señora de la limpieza como camarera y al ayudante del chef en la cocina. Debimos molestar a la antipática camarera mientras limpiaba, que por supuesto era un ambiente "estupendo" para cenar. A continuación, el ayudante nos sirvió una lubina que, evidentemente, aún no había crecido del todo. En cualquier caso, estaba frito como una grande y por lo tanto correspondientemente seco. También pedimos "Calamar Sahariano", pero nos sirvieron una especie de "Calamares a la romana". Además totalmente seco y del congelador, aunque habíamos pedido fresco. Nos ahorraremos más comentarios y simplemente no volveremos. Pero lo sentimos por la gente que pasa aquí sus vacaciones y se siente tan decepcionada.

Unser schlechtestes Essen am Playa de las Canteras

Wir wohnen schon seit vielen Jahren am Canterasstrand und haben schon in sehr vielen Restaurants gegessen. Bei den vielen guten Bewertungen müssen wir wohl die Putzfrau als Kellnerin und den Hilfskoch erwischt haben. Die unfreundliche Servicekraft haben wir wohl bei den Putzarbeiten gestört, was natürlich auch ein "tolles" Ambiente für ein Abendessen war. Vom Koch wurde uns dann eine Lubina serviert, die offensichtlich noch nicht ausgewachsen war. Gebraten war sie jedenfalls wie eine große und daher dementsprechend trocken. Weiterhin bestellten wir "Calamar Sahariano", serviert wurde aber eine Art "Calamares a la romana". Ebenfalls total trocken und aus der Gefriertruhe, obwohl wir extra frisch bestellt hatten. Wir ersparen uns weitere Ausführungen und kommen einfach nicht mehr wieder. Leid tut es uns aber für die Menschen, die hier ihren Urlaub verbringen und so...
