Wow what a scam. Everything was pretty good, besides the tasteless Tapas ofcourse, UNTIL we got a bill which was full of surprises. First of all we found out they billed us for bread, which the waitress didn’t ask or explain us that it costs extra, nah she just threw it on the table so we would assume it’s on the house. That’s obviously after we had ordered without even getting the menu. THEN we saw our favorite bit, we had ordered mixed tapas, on the board it said 14 euros- min. 2 people, which we assumed that 2 people get a good meal out of, otherwise it wouldn’t be that bloody expensive, wouldnit?! Ofcourse it was later we found out they charged us for 2x mixed tapas. So basically: scammers, overpriced, bland food.. Good service tho 🥲

Partimos de la base de que se entiende que en fin de año todo es mucho más difícil; comida de menú cerrado (en la que no cambiaron el año); por seguir el orden del menú: jamón al corte (a máquina, desde luego no a mano) y se les olvidó ponerlo en nuestra mesa hasta que lo pedimos varias veces; tabla de quesos (2 quesos distintos); con el queso, un pico de pan por cada 2 piezas de queso (los picos deben ser caros); tartar de atún, en realidad fue una especie de salpicón pero con mango y salmón nada de atún; salpicón de marisco con langostino (un langostino o ninguno por plato); eso sí, de esto pusieron un montón de platos….y solomillo, que estaba bueno, la verdad, pero no tenía ni foie, ni salsa trufada ni crema de patata, sino un pimiento frito y una patata semi cocida (dura) cortada por la mitad. El vino blanco que pedimos, ya descorchado y unos centímetros por debajo del cuello, nos dijeron que acaban de abrirlo y era así (jajaja, como si fuéramos tontos, pero vale); se acabó el agua (agua!!!!) a media comida, y el surtido de postres era un trozo de tarta de queso y otro de polvito canario por cada dos personas…. Nos dieron dos cuencos grandes con uvas tintas sin lavar (pegajosas, vamos), que tuvimos que lavar en agua con gas (recordemos que no había agua natural)….. Y…. Se dieron cuenta a las 23:40 aprox de que en la TV no tenían señal de antena, así que, in extremis, pusieron un canal iptv (por internet) de la TV canaria, con un retraso de 40 segundos, así que tomamos las uvas un poquito más tarde, aunque como hay que tomarse las cosas con humor, lo cierto es que nos reímos mucho. Pero el resumen es que fue un desbarajuste, vaya.

Absolutely lovely place. On a day walk, we went to rest our feet and enjoy some sangria. We fell in love with the friendly service and the charming location on a side street. So we decided to go to the same place for my birthday dinner. We were warmly welcomed and everything was perfect. At the end of our meal, I was brought a piece of cake with a candle and they sang me a birthday song. It made me very happy. We got one more memory to the album of our lives. I hope we will return to La Maravilla again sometime.

BAD AND AFTERNOON / MORE THAN 2 hours waiting for them to serve us. We had reserved a table on the terrace. When we arrived they didn't have a table available outdoors. Time reserved at 14:00 now it's 15:45 and they haven't brought us the food. They left the meat on the table and waited for the hot stone 🔥. It's 16:35 waiting for dessert. We had to tell the manager that if it didn't work for us we would leave. They served us a thing that we did not ask for, (Solimillo a la piedra and they served us Lomo alto) to compensate they give us dessert Total account 201'80€ SORRY BUT BO I RECOMMEND THIS SITE A LOT OF STAR IN GOOGLE BUT IT IS SEEN AND MORE THAN SEEN THAT THEY ARE DEDICATED TO SERVING WHAT THEY HAVE WITHOUT MORE AND DISCUSS LATER WITH THE CUSTOMER. Zeit um 14:00 Uhr reserviert, jetzt ist es 15:45 Uhr und sie haben uns das Essen nicht gebracht. Sie ließen das Fleisch auf dem Tisch liegen und warteten auf den heißen Stein 🔥. Es ist 16:35 Uhr und wartet auf das Dessert. Wir mussten dem Manager sagen, dass wir gehen würden, wenn es uns nicht helfen würde. Complete scam, please stay away!!! If you’re already there please double check the bill before paying. Food was ok, but the whole experience horrendous. We were charged 10€ extra for The things we did not ordered. Thankfully from what we got some other table called a police on them and we kind of got the message that something was not right. First they charged us for water we never got, then they added starter we never order. The whole expirience started horrible - we were waiting a long time for our drinks, if it wasn’t for the host we would probably never get them. Well to be honest half of our drink order never arrived, but it didn’t stop them for charging us for them. We tried to talk to the manager or whoever the guy talking to the police was… I guess someone in charge - he totally ignored us. We asked for the bill AFTER the police arrived, so we thought we wouldn’t get scammed. Well nope - even the POLICE INTERVENTION AND THEIR PRESENCE AT THE TIME didn’t stop them from adding a few things to our bill. Pathetic excuse for...

I only leave reviews of places I enjoy and don’t leave bad or negative reviews. For this place, I make an exception. We booked through The Fork website for New Years Eve. When we arrived the staff said they didn’t have our reservation, despite our confirmation. They said they didn’t work with ‘The Fork’ which simply isn’t true. Even now booking though Google, their reservation goes via The Fork, so the management must have signed up to it. It wouldn’t have been so bad if the staff were even slightly more helpful or apologetic. ‘Not my problem’ said one grim faced man when I showed him the email. Another miserable looking young woman shrugged and walked off. It was almost laughable. And the manager was ‘unavailable’ to explain why our booking had been accepted or why they were still on The Fork website (the family in front of us had the same problem so it wasn’t just me).
