The good old rice scam... Unfortunately we fell for this tourist trap. The prices on the menu are not the real prices. When we ordered our curry, the owner told us that rice is not included in the price. I already smelled the trap incoming but I didn't want to go search for another place, because I was hungry so we ordered the rice. I mean what were we supposed to do?! Eat curry sauce without rice? I have never experienced an Indian restaurant offering the food without the rice to it. The price for the rice was not on the menu. At least I didn't see it. Maybe it's not there so he can make up the price for it on the spot. I must say this was the most expensive rice I ever ate. It was a small portion of dry rice without anything for each of us. The price for each of these rice portions was 5,50,- The food itself was average, but not good. The only reason I give two stars instead of one is because they made good smoothies at a very fair price. (Very weird pricing system. Scamming us on one side with the rice but having super low priced freshly made smoothies on the other side.) I would not recommend anyone...
Read moreOverall, this was a 4.5 star experience. Pros: We really enjoyed our dinner at Cúrcumaa. We started with the onion pakora, which was delightful. For our entrees we had chicken tikka masala and vegetable biryani, which were also very good both in flavor and portion size. The best part of the meal was the garlic naan, which might be the best naan I’ve ever had. The food deserves 5 stars, without doubt. Cons: The price of just regular basmati rice was €5.50, which is expensive. We usually order naan and rice at Indian restaurants, but we weren’t willing to pay such a high price for the rice here. Also: They are stingy with the sauces. At most Indian restaurants, if you get papadam, pakora or samosas, they’ll usually bring you a tray of several different sauces. At Curcumaa, they ask you to choose just one sauce when you order. If you order another sauce, they will charge you...

Very few options around .. so it’s...
