Came looking for a quick burger fix and was surprised with a very decent meat burger. The patty is 200 grams and they cook it to medium rare or medium or whatever you desire, and they got our two burger patties perfectly done. The burgers all come with fries, which is always nice.
However I'm giving it 3 stars instead of 4 or 5 mainly because we felt a bit scammed. Firstly, they had a sign at the door saying that you get a free drink with your burger M-F lunch time. This is pretty standard in Spain, as businesses offer set deals for weekday lunch to attract people during the lower business timeframes. However, we were told once inside that they were no longer running the offer since last week.
Secondly, one of our burgers was the Farmer (with cheese, bacon, tomato, lettuce, and onion). The menu online (the one you get from scanning the QR Code) said 15,50€ but we were charged 16€ on our receipt. Everything else was the same pricing, not very sure why the Farmer was charged at an extra when we didn't add anything to it.
Overall, very good burger meat but at a very high price point for Las Palmas (13.50€ for the cheapest and up to 16€ for some...
Read moreI had the Umame Burger with fries and homemade non-baked Oreo-Cheesecake (not to sweet, what's awesome). It was one of the best burgers I ever ate (and I ate a lot of burgers at different burger restaurants) - juicy, perfectly roasted (for me), spicy and tasty. Great homemade, hand-cutted fries, well fried, crispy and with just the right amount of salt (not too much, not too less). Staff was very friendly (spoke English and Spanish) and smiled a lot. The menu was clean and short (unfortunately only in Spanish). The restaurant looked new, clean, and has a nice modern flair. Many green plants and pictures, but not too much of everything. Felt like home. Toilets were clean. Only minus: The restaurant is a little dark and I would love it, if the staff would ask how I want to have my meat (bloody, medium or well done). However, that was definitely not my last visit and I highly recommend it, if you want to eat a well made burger or eat a...
Read moreI can’t deny that the burgers are good. The meat is for once a quality one. But come on, 17.5 euros a basic burger !! I’ve travelled quite a bit and I can confirm this is the most expensive I ever had in the world (and I’m comparing to New York, Paris, Sydney, I would guess the rent there is “slightly” higher than Las palmas). I understand that you have to pay the quality, but it’s meat, it’s not caviar. You can buy 500g of really good meat at a supermarket for as much as 6 euros. And it’s not restaurant price (they pay much less their meat for the same quality). Here burgers are 200g. So a quick math and you can see that they must apply something around a x4 cost multiplier. Also for that price they could have better fries. That being said, I think this is the best burger in town. Waiters are super nice...
