Chicon quintana — Restaurant in Málaga

I want to write this in English because every foreigner and Spanish friends coming along apparently share the experience. Other "guiris" should be warned:

If they can tell you are not "from here", they'll bring you reheated, sometimes even burnt, rancid food, and make you pay ridiculous prices. I wonder if they keep old food in stock for such occasion, since "everything" we ordered tasted like dirty socks. And I am not that picky!

Nice little tapas bar. The owner is always with a smile on his face - very welcoming. The food is good, the highlight being the fish/seafood soup served in a cup, with almond sauce. Bodegón ubicado en el populoso barrio de la Victoria, a escasos metros del Santuario, que cuenta con salón interior y mesas en terraza. Ofrece una carta en un solo folio, con especialidades del chef, mariscos, pescados, carnes y tapas. Además, cuenta con varias pizarras a la entrada del local donde también aparecen anotados los platos. Optamos por pedir un poco de todo para probar varias cosas: una zamburiña al pil pil, tres caballitos de mar de atún y otros tres de salmón (en ambos casos, boquerones rellenos), un pinchito de atún, unas gambas al pil pil y unas aceitunas fritas. Para beber, una jarra de cerveza y dos refrescos, para una cuenta de 32,50 € para tres personas. Nos encantó el sitio; muy agradable, buena atención, precios razonables y la comida buenísima; particularmente nos llamaron la atención los boquerones rellenos y las aceitunas fritas, plato verdaderamente original y que nunca habíamos probado.
