La Viña Bonita — Restaurant in Málaga

Pros: good wine selection by the glass at very reasonable prices. Nice ambiance and the staff are pleasant. Cons: the “surtido ibérico” for 15€ was loaded with two types of salami and a fatty type. I was disappointed and thought the quality was very average. I would have preferred only 1 salami and some iberico ham and some lomo or the like. I would rather have less quantity but better quality Ibérico products. Conclusion: To be fair, some of the other dishes ordered by other customers looked better. Perhaps I will return for the wine and won’t eat, or will order something else. I live in the area and so it’s a shame as I would have been a regular customer. But I feel let down. This restaurant in terms of the quality of food and service are both far better than nearby places such as Tasca Laska. Food is freshly prepared and the selection of wine is impressive. Although the menu isn't comprehensive, we didn't have any disappointment at all as they are all very creative and flavoursome. Service in the restaurant is great, staff are very friendly and all tried their best to us (we don't speak Spanish). My new favorite place in Málaga! I have been in many restaurants around and the wine and dishes here are amazing. If you wanna talk English or in broken Spanish like me; the waiter is very helpful and explaining, he takes his time and is very friendly and patient. I ate there two days in a row at (Spanish) lunch time 15.00. I had both days three dishes and the second also a dessert. All were delicious. 3 different wines and a dessert wine all were very good.
