The food is amazing, but the service is absolutely exceptional!! We came to Malaga on vacation for the Christmas holidays and randomly saw it and walked in. The waiter was really friendly, approachable and helpful with recommendations. The owner was in and she came to our table and on the house offered us to try some traditional Argentinian appetizers (which were SO good!). When we ordered our second bottle of wine but they were out of it. No problem, we order a different one, but it turned out the owner actually ran back to her house because she had a bottle of it at home and brought it for us!! They absolutely went above and beyond without needing to! Then we were in a pinch for new years eve because we wanted to stay for a couple of days extra and hadn't really planned and booked a place in advance so we came here just to check. They had already made all reservations but were super considerate and managed to squeeze us 4 in despite everything which was amazing. But then we found out we had actually crashed a family celebration, so they booked us in to celebrate with their family and friends out of pure kindness! We were floored but felt extremely grateful and everyone was so accommodating and welcoming and made us feel included. They shared some traditions, not the least of which of food, drinking and live music. We could not have imagined a better start to the new year and our love for family owned restaurants has...
Read moreAnother gem in the Perchel Sur neighborhood! 🎉
For the longest time, I kept on walking past this place and telling myself I should check it out. I finally got the right motivation to do it when it was included in the Ruta de la Tapa 2023 and it did not disappoint - so much so that I already came back a few times since then to try out as much of the menu as I could!
The restaurant is quite big on the inside compared to what it seems to be from the street. Lots of tables are available for smaller and bigger groups, but it’s a good idea to make a reservation just in case. Additional tip: live music on the weekends makes the whole dinner experience even more fun!
The food is super tasty and diverse - you’ll find typical Spanish dishes, as well as some Argentinian options, since that’s where the owners are from. My heart goes to the croquetas as usual (rabo de toro & berenjenas), but you’ll definitely find something to your taste between all the other dishes as well. Albondigas, shrimps al pil pil, fried calamari… everything is good 💓
This review wouldn’t be complete without mentioning the quality of the service - the whole team is super professional and kind, adapting to the customers’ needs perfectly. Special thanks go to Angel for introducing me to different wines each time I visit and for his amazing linguistic...
Read moreRandomly walked in when on vacation. They had just opened so it was still empty, nice decor, thought we'd give it a shot. The waiter was really friendly and approachable and gave us great recommendations, the owner was there coincidentally and gave us some traditional Argentinian appetizers which really woke up our hunger, they were so delicious! Then the food arrived and it was really damn good! Fresh, flavourful, well-balanced and quite sizeable. Good wine, they had even ran out of the one we wanted but the owner went to her house to get us one as she had remembered she had an unopened one of it there which was extremely kind of her! And even more so when they let us book in right before new years, which we thought nothing of...until we found out it was a family celebration that they let us join! Me and my partner were shocked but extremely gratified. The food then was absolutely amazing I can't even emphasize this enough. It was so delicious we severely overate and for just a fraction of the cost we would have paid somewhere else! And we were strangers to everyone but they were so warm, kind and welcoming they made us feel included and had us join in on the fun! We could not have dreamed of a better end to the old year and a greater...
