This was one of the most disappointing, humiliating, and discriminatory dining experiences I’ve had.
I arrived alone around 10:20 p.m. and was first in line. Despite many available tables, the staff seated at least four other customer groups who arrived later. I overheard them whispering, “This Chinese guy, alone — where should we put him?” I understood every word, though they assumed I didn’t. That was the first sign I wasn’t welcome.
They eventually put me at the worst table, in a noisy corner near the kids’ area, while better tables were left open. I felt clearly pushed aside. Was it because I was Asian? Or because I came alone?
What’s more frustrating is that I’ve been here more than 10 times with friends and used to recommend this place. Even now, with better Japanese buffets in Málaga, I chose to come back out of loyalty. My last visit was 4–5 months ago. Back then, you could order up to 20 items per round. This time, it was 6 items max per round, same wait time, and a 3-piece salmon limit — none of this was explained in advance or clearly posted.
At 10:58 p.m., I had just received a few items when a staff member said the kitchen would close at 11:30. I was hungry, so I ordered more. They refused to lift the limit or help — instead, I felt rushed like I was bothering them.
When I went to pay, they said I wasted food and wanted to fine me. I told them I didn’t see any warning. They claimed it was “on the Pad,” which only showed a scenic screensaver. Nobody explained anything. I said (in Chinese) that I speak Spanish, but they kept whispering in Chinese that I didn’t, like they wanted to mock me. Another Asian staff member said she saw me talk to Spanish staff, so I “must understand,” then stared at me with clear hostility.
They’ve changed their ordering system from QR code to Pad, which I wasn’t familiar with. No visible warnings, no clear policy — yet they blamed me.
I felt humiliated. We’re all Asian — why discriminate against another Asian? Or was I treated poorly just for dining alone?
I wasn’t trying to take advantage of anything. I just wanted a quiet dinner like anyone else. But from the moment I entered, I felt like I didn’t belong.
This wasn’t just bad service. It made me feel invisible and ashamed, simply for existing. I no longer trust or respect this place.
If you value dignity, fairness, and basic decency — please go somewhere else.
I, for one, will...
Read moreThis should be the only proper all-you- can-eat sushi in Malaga that I have found, and I have researched a lot. It's a bit far from the city center and you have to take a metro but it's an experience. The place is huge. If you're a big group, then you have bigger chances to sit in one of the pretty areas. You can also get a Japanese dress to take pictures with. The atmosphere is really nice, they deliver food with robots and there are a lot of staff working and delivering and cleaning around. Service is ten out of ten. About the food, it looked like it had been cooked a long time ago or the food was stocked from a long time ago. To be honest, I got a headache from the food. I don't know why. Maybe it has been the rice, but I never got a headache from sushi. However, they have a huge variety of sushi that you can choose from, which is nice for people to try different types of sushi. You can choose 5 different types of sushis every 15 minutes, which is enough if the food comes on time, but it doesn't. It's actually messed up. Because you order like 5 different rounds, and the food from the first round comes on the last one. Overall, it's worth paying a visit because it's cheap compared to other restaurants and sushis in Malaga. Or in spain in general and it has a lot of things to try that, you...
Read moreIt’s not real sushi or Japanese food. The whole thing is like a parody of east asia. Some of the sushi rolls are ridiculous, the fruit one we couldn’t even swallow. The quality is below average, the ebi tempura in the rolls for example was dry and old, was not crunchy like it’s supposed to be. The rice used is hard and not soft like it’s supposed to be. The sashimi was served on dry ice, which was aesthetically pleasing but it’s not meant to be eaten at that temperature. The best thing was the wok and I’m not surprised considering the place is ran by Chinese people (nothing wrong with that but obviously is quite telling) not sure if the chefs are Japanese but it was honestly some of the worst sushi I’ve tried in terms of quality. Also there was a guy in the next table that kept saying “ni hao” to the robot whilst eating sushi with a fork. I think that’s very telling of the type of people who enjoy gimmicky places like sushisom. If you don’t know much about asian food, you’ll probably like it :) Even the review below me mistook the staff for Japanese (they are not lol) but still wrote a bad review. The robots...
