Visited here more than once. Each time people were SUPER polite and fun.
If it’s busy, you’ll have to wait, and if you want to sit on the terrace - go inside and ask if you can sit outside, and ask if the kitchen is open first.
Yes, I’m a white American tourist - so I cannot speak to all the one star reviews that say that there were many many owners over last few years, and lots of locals who don’t like tourists or prices. I hate being the problem, and I hate Americans and tourists invading and ruining local spots.
However on my visits I simply waited at the bar and asked if I could sit outside first, and asked if the kitchen is open.
So many one star reviews say: I waited outside for an million hours and the kitchen was closed — I work in bars and restaurants in the USA — why not just go inside and politely ask for service or if the kitchen is open.
Yes there are lots of places that are cheap and affordable nearby — but each time I was inside or outside on the terrace I didn’t hear any English, it was all folks that looked like from the neighborhood, enjoying the experience.
Workers at bars and restaurants are not mind readers with super powers. You’re paying more to sit on a nice terrace with ambience, instead of in a small cafe or tavern, and the interior is very nice and clean and updated.
I’m sad for the one star reviews — this place is excellent and seems full of Madrid locals.
Really loved it and the kinds staff — 5 stars.
Also — they were super nice even though most of my visits I had an 18 month old baby screaming and running and acting like a monster.

Read moreI am from USA and came in for lunch today and was greeted immediately when I came in the door with a smile. I don’t speak. Spanish very well, and was immediately greeted by friendly staff that helped me make a decision on a delicious order. And to wash it all down with some of the coldest Cerveza in Madrid. Who doesn’t love cold beer!!! At that time, I met Maria. She was very friendly and helped educate me in regards to my delicious entrée. I was so happy with my choice. She was very outgoing and I wish we had service like this back in the states. It was so nice and appreciated to have such great customer service. To Maria, a very special “Muchas Gracias!” I will definitely come back again in the coming days. Gratefully, thank...

Now, let’s talk about the tapas. Every dish we tried was amazing, but the standout was undoubtedly the "Croquetas kimchi." These little bites of heaven completely blew my mind! The perfect balance of flavors and textures made them an absolute must-try.
