I recently went there for the third time and I’ve always come out quite satisfied. A nice little place usually visited by office workers from the busy districts of Las Tablas, Sanchinarro and such, it presents tasty meals for reasonable prices and offers fast service for those on a tight schedule. Last time I was there I went with a large group (around 50), and though they struggled at first to fit us (even though we had made reservations in advance), the service was polite and the food was delicious. I’ve tried their steaks and I can say they’re quite good. Not something that’s easily said in Madrid (unfortunately). Their pizzas and their entrees are pretty tasty as well. Last time we were served a set meal with provolone, chorizo, Chilean empanadas, Caprese salad, the previously mentioned steak, desert and coffee with and an ample supply of beer, wine and soft drinks. All of this was under 40 euros each, which seemed more than reasonable once we’d finished eating and lay satisfied on our seats. The place is usually very crowded and it can be a bit of a hassle to get a table if you haven’t made reservations, so I would advise you do so. The one time I went there with no reservations I had to wait around 15 minutes. Which wasn’t too bad, but if you’re on a schedule, go ahead and give them a call before getting there. All in all, a decent place with...
Read moreAs Uruguayans, we are always on the lookout for some uruguayan barbecue (or any type of Uruguayan food to feel closer to home). Not only do La Mano de Pablo have Uruguayan meat cuts, but also the food is mouth-watering, is delicious! We've been there twice. I ordered asado de tira with fries and molleja and I am not lying if I say that the asado was of excellent quality (and with lots of meat, something this cut may be scarce on) and the molleja was one of the best and tastiest I've ever had. The fries were not abundant, though. We'd been suggested to order one large portion instead of 2 small and we ended up ordering an extra small. They also offer typical Uruguayan desserts, with dulce de leche. Price is fair, neither expensive nor cheap. Expect to spend, as a minimum, around €30pp. If you fancy going out for a barbecue in Madrid, La Mano de Pablo is a must. I'd definitely recommend it, you won't be...
Read moreThis was an ultra premium experience at a budget price. We were staying at a nearby hotel and needed a place within walking distance to grab a late night dinner, and we chose La Mano de Pablo completely by chance.... What a delightful surprise when course after course surpassed any of the high end steak restaurants back home (Morton's, Smith & Welinsky, and others). An absolutely amazing experience. We enjoyed the burrata, wood fired pizza, and several different cuts of Uruguayan steak - all prepared to share. Desserts were house made and simply divine. Not over sweet or heavy... just perfection. 11/10, a must visit and...
