If you’re in the mood for some delightful tapas and a nice glass of wine, Lizarran Barajas is the perfect spot to check out! Located near Madrid-Barajas Airport, this place offers a traditional Spanish vibe with a modern twist.

One of the things that really stands out at Lizarran is their amazing selection of "pintxos," which are tasty little snacks that are bursting with flavor. Whether you're a fan of the classic Spanish tortilla, fresh seafood, or cured meats, there’s something here for everyone! And don’t miss out on their fantastic wine selection—it pairs beautifully with the food. While the prices might lean toward the higher end, the generous portions and top-notch quality definitely make it worth it.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a cozy interior that might feel a bit snug, but it’s all part of the charm! Unlike some of the busier tapas bars in Madrid, Lizarran offers a relaxed experience where you can really take your time and enjoy your meal without the chaos.

What really makes Lizarran shine is the friendly and attentive staff. From the moment you walk in, you’ll be greeted with a warm smile, and the service stays just as fantastic throughout your visit. Even with prices that are a bit above average, the overall experience—including the complimentary “napa” (a lovely little tapa that comes with your drinks)—makes it a must-visit!

So, if you find yourself in the Barajas area and craving some high-quality tapas in a chill atmosphere, Lizarran is definitely worth popping into. With great food, good wine, and a welcoming vibe, it’s a spot you...

Moraleja: no vayais allĂ.

Myself & husband went for dinner here. It was the worst service I’ve ever experienced in a restaurant in Madrid. There seemed to be only 2 waitresses on for a busy restaurant, so we were prepared to wait but getting their attention was impossible. Eventually, we managed and ordered drinks. She had the personality of a dog! Usually the Spanish welcome foreigners making the effort to speak Spanish, mine is passable but she was pure ignorance. When we went to order food, after many failed attempts to get the attention of either waitress a gentleman from the next table got up and told a waitress we had been trying to get her attention. She came down and took our order. But again this waitress was lacking in basic manners. It took 45 minutes for my meal to arrive and another 10 minutes for my husband’s. The food was only average - not worth the wait. But combined with the wait, hassle to order and ignorant staff - I wouldn’t...

We had very nice experience here. Don’t speak a word of Spanish. The waiter doesn’t speak English but he use Google translate to help us and suggested some amazing food. The aubergine fries with honey is delicious. Smoke salmon soft cheese is divine.

I tried to have lunch at 12 o'clock, but there was no restaurant available, but fortunately, I was able to eat here. Paella was just plain taste, but the staff was very friendly and the grilled octopus he recommended was really delicious.
