I absolutely loved this place, it feels like a cozy little escape. The kind of comfort you get from enjoying incredible homemade food made by your mom or grandma. My mother and I started with the Colombian ceviche, which was delicious — so fresh and full of bright, balanced flavors. Next, we tried the oxtail lasagna (rabo de toro), and it was spectacular! Every bite was rich and flavorful, and the meat was unbelievably tender.
Then came the Corvina, which turned out to be my favorite dish of all — truly outstanding! The flavors were exquisite, and the potatoes complemented it perfectly. For dessert, we shared the brownie with caramel ice cream. My mom usually isn’t a fan of brownies, but she loved this one!

Read moreWe have lived here for 12 years and discovered Daniel's recently opened restaurant just last week - and we were totally blown away! So much so, that we returned just a few days later for my birthday. Daniel knows about food - he did afterall open Palo Cortado in Málaga. If you like different types of sherries (vinos generosos), then let Daniel treat you. His selection of wines is also excellent. The food is creative and a breath of fresh air from the repetitive standard fair. The dishes are innovative and sophisticated but not pretentious. You can eat outside but we opted for eating indoors because it is small and cozy and we enjoyed chatting with Daniel. It has also been a long time since I left a restaurant without feeling robbed. Culinarily, Daniel punches above his weight and his prices are honest. We look forward to...
Read moreWow. What a wonderful place! Super friendly people. Excellent food. Superb and reasonably priced. Probably the best food (partly Andalusian cuisine with a Colombian twist!) we’ve had here. We ordered Caesar salad, pooled rib meat with jus-mayo on the banana pancakes, shrimp al pil pil, rabbit, Angus steak, Belota steak, chicken in tomato-cheese sauce, and fish. Everything was deeeeelicious. The place is new, opened less than a year ago. If you’re in Marbella and want authentic, honest food at reasonable prices in a friendly atmosphere, this is the spot. Highly recommended! P.S. The Baelo 12 red...
