DIVOT Gastro Grill — Restaurant in Marbella

We have visited Divot Restaurant several times over the years and it has always been one of our favorite spots in Marbella. The place offers a refined atmosphere, beautiful views, excellent service, and truly delicious food.

Unfortunately, during our most recent visit yesterday, our experience was overshadowed by an unusual and overwhelming presence of bees and flies. The situation became so uncomfortable that we had to rush through our meal instead of enjoying it as we normally would. The staff were very kind and did their best, even personally trying to keep the bees away, but the problem persisted and intensified especially once the food was served.

I sincerely believe the restaurant management should reach out to the local authorities or professional services in Marbella to address this issue. It would be a shame for such a wonderful restaurant, with such a strong reputation, to lose its charm because of something that can hopefully...

It was my husband's birthday. I booked a table a week ago but I got the impression that no one knew about it. We were seated at an uncovered table and in the process they began to bring cutlery and menus. At that moment, my husband asked for a beer - they immediately brought it to him and left. As a result, we sat for almost half an hour with the menu, I didn’t have just corny water. When I saw that the waiter was walking there, I thought that he was coming towards us BUT he went to the terrace and just spat through and went on. Later, the same waiter took a knife from the set table and started picking something at the front door and then simply returned this knife to the same table. When half an hour had already passed, we just got up and went to pay for the beer ourselves. As soon as we moved away from the table, they immediately began to clean it. Not a single waiter had a question why we got up and there was only one beer...

WORST service we have ever had at any restaurant anywhere. It took them forever to bring our food out. The burger we ordered for our children to share looked nothing like the beautiful burgers we were seeing come out to other tables. The fries which were supposed to come with the sad "burger" we got came A WHOLE HOUR later, after us asking for them SEVERAL times. When we asked for Ketchup, we were brought two consecutive EMPTY bottles of ketchup. To top things off, a waiter spilled a sauce all over me, my purse, shoes and our friend. You would think that something would have been taken off the bill as a gesture but no such thing happened. The interesting thing is that they were noticeably less bad to us when our African American friend got off the table. How does this still happen in this day and age? Horrific experience. If I could make it zero stars I would. We will not be back and definitely DO NOT...
