In all honesty not bad but also nothing to write home about. Easily accessible with plenty of parking. The staff although too many were polite, clean and spoke English and complemented us on our broken Spanish. The menu gave a name as well as a number for each dish but the staff preferred the name but couldn't spell the Japanese words in Spanish which made me think, then why have a number? The tea was nicely presented and tasted good too but would have been nicer if we were told to wait for the leafs to simmer. You can't go wrong when making Tempura but they did with their sauce and that was easily compensated by Soya. The hand roll Unagi is regrettably mixed in with a piece of grilled Salmon but the pieces were so small and the only covered the top part and having it with thinly sliced cucumber meant that the remaining bites were just with rice which really makes it pathetic. We asked for both Wagyu Noodles and Rice and both dishes were well prepared and presented but the Wagyu pieces of Beef were so small and thinly sliced that any such beef would have been tender by cooking in baking soda and here it was beyond obvious. Last but not least, charging us an additional €2 for requesting an additional serving of Ginger was not necessary as it should have been complimentary as we all know the size and price in which it is...
Read moreProbably one of the best places I have been in this area. I have eaten here twice because the first time I hadn’t slept for many hours and was not able to do a proper rating. This time was just amazing and the service is so kind and really professional for a small restaurant. Big applause to the kitchen for their fresh fish and seafood.
They speak English good.
You can sit outside and inside.
When you sit inside the doors are still open which is nice.
The interior is not for a romantic date but it’s really nice for good food with good friends. I like the Japanese atmosphere and the music makes it more real.
The sashimi was just amazing! That salmon!!
Good recommendations and fair price.
*update: I have now eaten here in a year and it never disappoints! I try new dishes all the time. Salmon sashimi always wins my heart. Salmon papaya salad is amazing. Gyozas are so nice. But even the most mind blowing dish I tried was the foie gras nigiri - OMG it’s to die for. I ordered one. Then I ordered two more. Then I ordered two more again!
Not impressed by the desserts. I miss a Japanese fusion of nigiri and chocolate or a fondant. Banana nigiri and chocolate sauce is an idea for the menu - for people like me with milk and nuts allergy or for vegans.
Thank you for great foods both alone and...
Read moreIf you are searching for authentic and delicious Japanese food in Marbella, look no further. We were late and the last guests at the restaurant and were treated with a kind and warm welcome. The ambiance in the restaurant is quiet and calm, and you could hear the sound of a soft waterfall. The food was authentic Japanese, the best Wagyu skewers we've ever had, delicious Spicy Tuna rolls and Gyoza. We ordered more because we could not have enough, and it all was delicious. The service was top notch! Which is difficult to get here in Marbella/ Spain. I would come...
